Just weeks ago he announced that he and his girlfriend were expecting a baby girl together.

Now Catfish creator Nev Schulman has decided to make an honest woman out of his lovely baby mama Laura Perlongo.

Nev - pronounced 'Neeev' to those who don't know - announced the couple plan to wed with a sweet Snapchat share that showed off Laura's hand and a very large diamond engagement ring.

The couple were seen cuddling cheek-to-cheek on an apparent date night at a bowling alley.

Nev, 31, couldn't contain his excitement apparently and posted the news to social media on Friday night.

It comes after the TV host and producer revealed that the couple were to become parents.

On May 11, Nev took to Twitter to announce that he and Laura were expecting their first child together.

'AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm having a baby!,' Nev tweeted along with a snap of Laura, 30, undergoing an ultrasound procedure.

He also included a link to Laura's post on Attn detailing how their baby was conceived.

Laura in her detailed post revealed she was high on 'marijuana in the form of candy' when she took a pregnancy test and found out she was expecting.

'I knew right away I wanted this baby. I was strong. I was smart. I was full of love. I COULD DO THIS!,' she shared.

'I was confident I’d be great. Nev was confident he would be great. HE COULD DO THIS!,' she added.

Laura revealed they had only been dating for seven months including a break in August 'but we were optimistic and in love'.

Nev also posted another photo to Instagram showing himself kissing Laura on the forehead while she was getting an ultrasound.

'IT'S A GIRL! No words can capture the excitement and joy I feel about becoming a father. I am so in love with you @el_peego and thank you for giving me this incredible gift,' Nev wrote in the caption.

'You inspire and excite me every day,' he added.

Nev started hosting the MTV online dating docu-series Catfish: The TV Show in November 2012 after being the subject of the 2010 documentary movie Catfish about his own experience being duped by an online dater.

Catfish was well received by critics and earned $3.5 million at the box office. 

The fifth season of Catfish: The TV Show premiered on February 24 on MTV.
