Leggy Alesha fails to win BGT fans back in garish bandage dress after THAT comment... as racy Amanda covers up in elegant teal gown

She caused controversy the previous evening when she called black singing quartet Vox Fortura 'four sexy, chocolate men'.

But Alesha Dixon put the drama behind her for Thursday night's round of the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals by taking a fashion risk in a quirky bandage dress, which was mocked by viewers on social media.

The former Mis-Teeq singer put her endless legs on display in the thigh-skimming, multicoloured number, while her fellow judge Amanda Holden mixed things up by donning a more modest teal gown.

Alesha flaunted her fabulous figure in the Dsquared2 minidress, featuring a blue and green skirt, pink bodice and asymmetrical straps.

The striking star's ensemble was embellished with a bizarre yellow zip running down the front, which coordinated with her gladiator style heels - but her bold choice didn't go down too well with viewers.

One fan queried on Twitter, 'Is @AleshaOfficial wearing liquorice allsorts dress tonight #BGT2016 #BGT!, while another asked, 'Why is Alesha Dixon dressed as a crime scene'.

'What’s @AleshaOfficial wearing on #BGT? It looks like she’s fallen thru a deckchair (sic)', another joked, with others posted comparisons to a curtain.

One fan queried whether the women had been given a warning about their racy attire following the barely-there attire they favoured earlier in the week.

The post read: 'What the F! Is #aleshadixon wearing? Both ladies start week half naked and now they just weird. Have they been told off? #bgt'.

After several days of daring dresses, fellow panelist Amanda switched up her look thanks to a modest evening gown with a high neckline.

The gorgeous blue garment was embellished with a silver motif running down one side, and was given a sexy twist thanks to a one-sleeve style and a subtle side-split.

The blonde toned down her make-up and coiffed her hair in a slicked back bouffant.

The night before, Alesha had been slammed by tweeters after she labelled black singing quartet Vox Fortura as 'four sexy, chocolate men'.

Outraged fans called the comment made during the live show racially insensitive.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to accuse the singer of racism, with many suggesting if any other of the judges used the term they would be lambasted. The reaction was so intense that her name trended on the site.

'Um if Amanda had said that it would have been racist??' One user noted, adding: 'Alesha sailing a little close to the wind.'

Whilst another viewer said: 'Alesha just called them chocolate men? You sure, imagine the outrage if a white person said that.'

Another added: 'Alesha Dixon has not been very professional tonight #BuzzerGate but now she calls 4 black men 'Chocolate' she really has to go.'

Vox Fortura responded to the singer's comments, tweeting: '@AleshaOfficial, if you think we are "four beautiful chocolate men" can't get any better than that.'

She retweeted them on Thursday, adding: 'I do! And so is my husband,' as she referred to her partner Azuka Ononye.

Amanda also praised their performance, confessing that they 'stirred' something inside her.

The blonde also quipped of her fellow judge Walliams' reaction to the group: 'David, you're the one that won't be able to stand up in a moment!'

Meanwhile, whilst Simon told them they had 'booked a place in the final,' the quartet ultimately finished in fourth place.

Alesha also attracted criticism after growing bored of semi final act Bespoke Candi - which featured a dancing dinosaur - and slamming her buzzer - a rarity on the live shows - before banging her hand down on the red buttons of her fellow judges.

The star was accused of 'drinking' by panellists Simon Cowell, David Walliams, and Amanda Holden after aiming her hands at their buzzers to stop the performance.

Simon exclaimed: 'I don't know what Alesha's problem is?' as the audience spurred him on with a chorus of boos.

'She is drinking again, Simon,' interrupted David Walliams, as Simon continued: 'I think it's great for kids. Better than the first audition.'

Amanda even stood up and pretended to smack the star due to her behaviour.

But Alesha didn't back down as she argued: 'Now for the voice of reason. Everybody put on costumes get on stage and dance?'

Even presenter Declan Donnelly got involved, warning her: 'You shouldn't go around and hit all the other judges buttons.'

Despite Dixon's antics overshadowing the show, crowd favourites Beau Dermott and Balance progress to Saturday night's live final, but viewers were more concerned with Alesha's antics on the ITV talent contest.

Chastising the star for his actions, Dec said: 'You shouldn't go around and hit all the other judges buttons.'

And David continued to suggest alcohol was the problem as he again shouted out: 'She's drinking again.'

However, Alesha was no doubt pleased to find out she won't have to suffer through the performance again, as he group finished in last place of the eight acts performing that evening.
