Jarbidge Resource Management Plan Revision

The BLM has revised the 1987 resource management plan (RMP) for approximately 1.4 million acres of public land in south-central Idaho to accomplish several goals:

  • respond to changes in resource conditions;
  • respond to new issues, programs and policies;
  • establish a comprehensive framework for managing public lands in the planning area
    for the coming 15-20 years; and
  • meet terms of the 2005 stipulated settlement agreement in
    Western Watersheds Project v. Bennett (U.S. District Court, Idaho).

On September 2, 2015 the BLM Idaho State Director signed the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Final EIS and Approved RMP.  The Decision became effective immediately.  The Notice of Availability (NOA) for the ROD was published in the Federal Register on September 14, 2015.
