Slimmed-down Frankie Essex puts on a leggy display in summery white lace playsuit for girls' night out after throwing herself into new fitness regime

She's been sticking to regular workouts and a new healthy diet.

And the results were clear to see as Frankie Essex headed out on the town with her girlfriends on Thursday night.

The former TOWIE star looked gorgeous in a white lace playsuit which flaunted her slimmed-down physique for a White Party event at Sheesh in Essex.

Frankie, 28, flashed a big smile as she strutted inside the restaurant with her pals.

The blonde chose a flattering playsuit for her fun night out with a lace over-lay and thigh-skimming shorts, while cut-out detail on the back flashed a touch more skin.

She added extra height and accentuated her long legs further with a pair of nude heels, adding a matching bag, while her glossy locks were styled into glam curls.

Frankie has been working hard on her fitness recently after gaining weight following a break up with her boyfriend John Lyons last year.

She has been spotted working out in her local park while keeping her Twitter followers up to date on her progress. 

Speaking to Now Magazine recently, Frankie explained that she's had a tough year since her love split, revealing: 'I did think about killing myself, like my mum. She was depressed and I'm scared I'll fall into that hole. But I'm on antidepressants now and they're helping me feel happier. I want to be the old Frankie again.

'I'd lost all my confidence. I had a really s**t year, probably the worst year I've ever had, and I was really down. I lived with my boyfriend John and I had to move out.'

The reality TV star said at the time she had been added to a six week waiting list to see a counsellor and her cousin Chloe Sims was helping her to cope.

Joey Essex's sister has always battled with her weight and has previously spoken about being heavier while growing up and not wearing a dress until she was 18 because she was so self conscious.

She told MailOnline: 'I was the heaviest I’ve ever been - I didn’t wear a dress until I was 18 because I hated my figure so much.

'I went on a liquid diet for three months and lost the weight fast, but my skin was really saggy afterwards. I weighed 9st 6lbs but, in my head, I was still fat. It took ages for my head to catch up with my new body.'
