Man's best friend! Bradley Cooper looks pensive as he takes his dog Charlotte for a stroll in Los Angeles

Bradley Cooper looked to be in a serious mood on Monday.

The actor was seen with his head down as he walked his pooch Charlotte in Los Angeles before taking off in his car.

The 41-year-old looked hunkier than ever, this time honoring Monday's patriotic Memorial Day holiday in a casual blue zip-up jacket, red shorts, brown flip flops and a red baseball cap in hand.

Cooper's slicked back hairstyle and full beard were complemented by a pair of dark sunglasses.

The actor also carried a large black backpack across his shoulders.

Unfortunately for the movie star, his furry companion seemed less than willing to comply with Cooper, who was seen tugging at the chow-retriever mix who kept resisting him as they walked.

Bradley and Charlotte finally made it to the car, where the pup received help hopping into the backseat.

Cooper rescued his dog at an adoption event in Santa Monica years ago.

Back in 2009, the Oscar nominee referred to Charlotte as one of his 'kids,' telling People Magazine he even sneaks her on to movie sets: 'I’m not supposed to, but they hang out in my trailer.'
