Jena Malone is celebrating the birth of her son Ode Mountain DeLorenzo Malone.

Sharing a picture of herself and musician boyfriend Ethan DeLorenzo cuddling the newborn, the Hunger Games starlet expressed her joy.

'The best weekend of our lives!!!'she wrote on Instagram. 'What an incredible blessing to be chosen by this amazing, kind, gentle and beautiful soul to be his parents.

Ode is the first child for the 31-year-old actress and musician and producer Ethan, who was previously a member of Chris Brown's touring band from 2010 until 2012.

Jena and Ethan announced they were expecting with an equally stylish Polaroid image back in January.

Jena captioned the picture: 'It's with two feet firmly on the ground and a heart swelling in an ocean of love that I'd like to share the new shape I am becoming to hold the greatest dream of them all. #babybump #newparents.'

Jena then chronicled the growing life inside, sharing a series of snaps of her bump.

She and Ethan took some time out to vacation in Yosemite, and she shared a snap, writing: 'Baby mooning in Yosemite and the western sierras.

Jena has appeared in the likes of Pride and Prejudice, Into the Wild and Sucker Punch, though she is best known for her turn in The Hunger Games.
