Hair-raising thrills! MRK's Pete Evans sports new Mohawk hairstyle as he enjoys a day in the surf with his two beloved daughters

Celebrity chef Pete Evans claims his paleo diet and active lifestyle keeps him in trim shape.

And his impressive physique was on display as he enjoyed a long day in the surf with his daughters Indii, seven, and Chili, nine, on Thursday.

The My Kitchen Rules judge sported a new surfie hairstyle for the trip, a near-Mohawk cut by his wife Nicky Watson earlier in the day.

The 43-year-old cut his way through the gentle waves with ease while his daughters managed to stand up and catch a few themselves.

His young brood have proved to be quick studies of the aquatic art, progressing from splashing about on a purple boogie board in February to zipping across the water like pros.

Pete helped his daughters carry their now full-sized surfboards across the beach but they held on to them while in the water.

The clan stayed at the beach all day, coming home so late that Pete resorted to two pre-cooked meals from his paelo range - steamed hoki fillet and barbeque pulled pork.

'We enjoyed a long late surf, so we are having take out tonight,' he wrote on Instagram, using the opportunity to promote the meals he said were available at paleo cafes.

The North Bondi-local, who announced his engagement to the glamour model earlier this year, shares his daughters with his ex-wife Astrid Edlinger.

He has been dating the svelte New Zealander since 2011 and they tied the knot last month.
