She and her sister may be known for their love of social engagements but tonight Princess Eugenie spent the evening with friends and stars for a good cause.

The royal joined a heavily pregnant Natalie Pinkham and Isabella Calthorpe at the Hope and Homes End the Silence fundraiser in London.

And she showcased her sense of chic in a black floor-length halterneck evening gown and chic lace up shoes.

The 26-year-old who works for the Hauser & Wirth art gallery, wore her hair in a sophisticated up-do and completed her look with glamorous red lipstick.

She posed with her friend F1 presenter Natalie Pinkham, who is expecting her second child with husband Owain Walbyoff this month.

But she didn't stop her imminent due date putting her off for walking the red carpet for the charity that she's a patron for.

Ahead of the event, she explained the importance of the fundraising event and the dire situation facing millions of children in orphanages around the world.

She said: 'The neglect and abuse is so profound in some of these orphanages that their brains actually shrink, and their life skills regress - so no walking, talking let alone ever reading, writing, playing, or feeding themselves.'

Another aristocratic attendee was Isabella Calthorpe, married to Sam Branson - another close friend of Eugenie and her sister Beatrice.

While Sam wore an all black look, his wife opted for a racy dress with plunging front and sheer skirt.

With Beatrice back in New York where she lives and works, the gang of friends was missing their other member.

Meanwhile, other guests including Caroline Flack stepped out to the End The Silence fundraising gala at Abbey Studios in London.

Caroline led a star-studded guest list at the End the Silence fundraiser, which raises money to support children in institutional care around the world.

Denise van Outen looked ebullient and enthusiastic as she arrived on the red carpet with her boyfriend Eddie Boxhall - both of whom have dined with Beatrice, Eugenie, Prince Harry and Natalie Pinkham before.

The blonde bombshell was every inch the television star in a form-fitting, floor-sweeping gown with a dramatic black-and-beige floral motif and a large cut-out that showed off her enviable back.

She wore her platinum locks up, held in position by a stunning plait that screamed Greek goddess.

Entertainment also came in upper crust form as Birdy - aka Jasmine van den Bogaerde - performed a set.

The long-haired chanteuse is the granddaughter of the 20th Baron Teynham, Captain John Christopher Ingram Roper-Curzon and her great uncle was Sir Dirk Bogarde.
