But Kim Kardashian's latest video detailing her 'everyday' makeup routine will make even the most seasoned of beauty experts balk.

The star has revealed she takes a staggering two hours getting ready every morning (not including choosing her outfit) as well as the help of an entire team of stylists.

Kim Kardashian has released a new video detailing her 'everyday' makeup routine, which takes 'about two hours' and a dedicated team of stylists - and will make even the most seasoned of beauty experts balk

She made the startling revelation earlier this week, writing on her KKW website: 'I thought you guys might like a little peek into my daily glam routine.

'I do makeup and hair for about two hours every day! It’s actually a great time for me to catch up on work emails, take some calls and see what you guys are up to on social media.’

The timelapse video shows Kim's 'glam team' rallying around her as she plays on her phone, working intently on her cheeks, lips, eyes, brows, hair and lashes - eventually achieving a polished but natural look. It has been viewed more than 100,000 times in a matter of days.

Her extensive routing may come as a surprise to fans, after Kim recently admitted that her husband Kanye prefers the natural look.

Daring dresses are Kim Kardashian's thang. The A-list star loves the nearly-naked look so we can't say we were exactly surprised with this ensemble.

Speaking at the Vogue Festival in London last month, she explained: 'My husband loves me without make-up. I would wear make up 24/7 if I could, but he likes me without it.'

Kim, 35, was taking part in a beauty talk with celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury and Vogue's editor-at-large, Fiona Golfar.

The mother-of-two also revealed she now favours a more natural look and is 'trying to wear less' make-up.

She praised the new 'non-touring' make-up technique beloved by the likes of Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively, which favours a natural, dewy complexion over heavy contouring and highlighting.

And that's on a normal day! After two hours of beautifying, Kim comes out with a natural, polished look

'I think right now it's more about non-touring, like real skin with less make-up on it,' she told the audience. 'I'm trying to wear less. Now when I travel I just bring a small make-up case, and I'm content with that.'

Kim added: 'I'm really into strobing now, so just highlighting the skin without using bronzer. I love contouring and I don't think I'd stop contouring my nose - I know people think I've had a nose job but it really is just make-up!'

The star kicked off the contouring craze in 2014 when she shared an Instagram picture showing her contouring make-up before it had been blended; and the following year she posted a dramatic collage of her extensive make-up routine featuring contouring, dark red lips and blue smoky eyes.

Clever contouring? Kim recently told fans: 'I know people think I've had a nose job but it really is just make-up!'

Kim also revealed that she gave birth to her first child, North, 'in full-make-up' but went cosmetics-free for her second, Saint, who was born in December.

By contrast, Charlotte, whose husband has never seen her without make-up, admitted: 'Wearing make-up is just how I feel most empowered and confident.

'If he tries to come into the bathroom when I've taken it all off I have to chase him away.'

Kim and Charlotte are long-term friends, with the beauty guru recently announcing the upcoming launch of a lipstick inspired by the reality star.

Kim wrapped up her trip to London with an appearance at the Vogue 100 Gala Dinner, mingling with A-listers and turning heads in a stunning sheer maxi gown by Roberto Cavalli.
