Bette Midler reveals she named her chickens after the Kardashian sisters... but Kim died of a yeast infection

She got into a now infamous Twitter feud with Kim Kardashian about a nude selfie the E! star posted in March.

But despite throwing some serious shade in her direction, Bette Midler seemingly has some affection for the Kardashian clan, at least enough to name her farm animals after them.

The 70-year-old actress revealed on Wednesday that she had a chicken called Kim Kardashian but it tragically died.

Talking at the New York Restoration Project's Spring Picnic, Bette revealed that she keeps several chickens at her upstate New York home.

'We have the Kardashian sisters, actually, our chickens,' said Hocus Pocus star.

But she added she can no longer tell them apart after Kim's unfortunate passing and when they had to get some replacement poultry. 

'Kim died of a yeast infection. We had to get some different ones.'

Indeed Bette did tweet about her Kardashian chickens back in 2011 and wasn't very flattering.

'Spent yesterday cleaning out the chicken coop; came out covered in sh*t .... The hens are Kim, Kourtney and Khloé. And they're exactly like their namesakes!' she wrote.

She has also joked about her farming lifestyle on social media, sharing a meme about a chicken fearing for its life as it walks past KFC. 

'As a chicken farmer, we were amused' she captioned it. 

Earlier this year Bette responded to Kim's naked bathroom selfie by tweeting: 'Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera.'

The KUWTK star responded with: hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding' before adding: 'hey @BetteMidler I really didn't want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu'  

Bette is gearing up to star opposite Frasier star David Hyde Pierce in the upcoming Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!

The musical tells the story of matchmaker and schemer Dolly Levi who receives her toughest challenge yet when a rich grump seeks a suitable wife.  

Performances on Broadway begin on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017.
