Playing to win! Bachelorette 'villain' Chad Johnson buys up rivals' domain names and re-directs traffic to his Instagram account

He's already caused plenty of tension in The Bachelorette household while ruthlessly competing for JoJo Fletcher's heart.

But outspoken reality TV 'villain' Chad Johnson is set to rile up his fellow contestants even more, after buying up their domain names and re-routing web traffic to his Instagram account.

The 28-year-old confirmed to People that he purchased website URLs for rivals Derek Peth, Robby Hayes, Chase McNary and Alex Woytkiw and is sending their fans to his social media.

Chad purchased the URLs as a business strategy and also for a laugh, he told People.

'That's business, and it's hilarious,' the luxury real estate agent said.

The former Marine has been busy posting a steady stream of shirtless photos on Instagram since the season began.

The cocky bachelor has been a key storyline so far this season, with his fellow Bachelorette contestants - who Chad dismissed as 'Care Bears' - quickly turning on him.

However, things appear to take a dark turn next week, with a promo showing Chad's apparently violent outbursts.

Next week will be a two-part episode focusing on his behavior, dubbed 'The Chad-aggedon.'

The dramatic promo showed Chad punching a door, and songwriter James Taylor was seen clutching his head as blood dripped down his face. Host Chris Harrison is also seen confronting Chad and saying the other men are afraid of him.

But Chad took to Instagram to defend himself on Monday.

'I'm not violent, but I will stand up for myself, being as I, like everyone else, do not like being harassed and bullied,' he wrote.

JoJo also shared her thoughts on the shocking turn of events, writing on her People blog she had no idea things had been so tense in the Bachelorette house.

'I knew there was some tension, of course, but I didn't know there were threats of violence,' the 25-year-old real estate developer wrote.

'I don't feel great now seeing this. It's all just so complicated. Chad is a complex guy with complex emotions,' she said.
