She's an Olympic equestrian and he's a former rugby player so when Zara Phillips brother Peter Phillips invited his athletic relatives to take part in a grueling obstacle race they could hardly decline.
Zara Tindall, 35, and husband Mike, 37, were among the competitors at the Reebok Spartan Super Race at Aston Down Airfield in the Cotswolds along with Peter whose events company organised the race.
The 14.2km course saw the trio along with more than 1,000 competitors negotiate more than 25 signature Spartan obstacles.

Mike was seen negotiating the barbed wire crawl, which requires competitors to crawl or roll under barbed wire obstacles with all their equipment. Â
Is athletes can't complete an element of the course they have to do 'penalty burpees' as a forfeit.Â
Zara looked every inch the professional athlete as she reach the top of the wall jump after successfully negotiating her way over it.
According to the Spartan organisers it requires back strength and strong triceps to complete the challenge.Â

Competitors had to crawl or roll under lengths of barbed wireÂ
Mike made it look easy as he climbed the traverse wall, which has only small handholds and footholds to grip.Â
The trio kept in step with each other as they raced across the tough and rugged terrain to the next obstacle.Â
And they gamely completed the final challenge before reaching the finish line - leaping over a wall of flames.
This year's winner was Adam Crackwell, who completed the course in an impressive time of one hour and 17 minutes.

Peter Phillips, General Manager for Spartan UK, says: 'Aston Down was a great success and a proper Spartan challenge for the first Super race of the season.Â
'It was great to see so many competitors at different levels of ability take on the tough Aston course and find their inner warrior.Â
'We are really looking forward to the next race, hosting the Spartan European Championship at Spittal Farm, Edinburgh which will allow racers to test themselves on the same course as Europe' best.'
The obstacle race, however, was not the only current challenged for Zara.Â
She is gearing up to take part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this summer and has previously said she 'definitely' wants to take home a gold medal to go with her London 2012 silver medal.
In August 2014, she qualified for Rio 2016 after jumping a perfect round at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy.
Her performance on her bay gelding High Kingdom - with whom she won Olympic team silver at London 2012 - secured her place in Team GB.
The Royal finished 11th overall and her score among the British riders was only beaten by world number one and team mate William Fox-Pitt.
