This is the shocking moment a boy celebrating his birthday nearly had his eyebrows singed off as his cake exploded into flames.

The boy, named George, can be seen happily waiting for his cake before his mother brings it in and his family starts singing Happy Birthday in US accents.

But when he leans across to blow out the candles, the cake burst into a huge ball of flames.

Up in flames: A huge ball of fire bursts from the cake as George's relatives to scream out

His family cry out, with a male relative screaming: 'My gosh!'

And although George seems a little shaken, he is unharmed.

His shocked mother cries: 'Oh no! I forgot about the powdered sugar!' while another male asks 'are we trying to kill him?!'

But it doesn't stop George from blowing out the rest of the candles who laughs when a relative asks him if his eyebrows are OK.
