And after much speculation regarding her private life, Danielle Spencer, 47, has a new love interest, making her first public appearance with novelist Adam Long on Friday night.

The ex wife of the Hollywood hunk introduced her new beau to her family, holding hands with him as they left a Sydney restaurant.

The writer and cartoonist met Danielle's mother Julie and her father Don, as well as the two children she shares with Russell, Tennyson and Charlie.

Wearing a denim mini skirt, Danielle cut a relaxed but chic figure with the addition of black open-toe pumps and a lace shirt.

She rugged up with a black overcoat.

Adam smiled for photographers as the couple left Sake restaurant in the affluent suburb of Double Bay, seemingly proud to show off his ladylove. 

Danielle, who had been in an on-again, off-again relationship with the Gladiator star since 1989 until they married in 2003, has not been publicly seen with another man since her divorce.
