London neighbours reveal ‘nightmare’ 10-year battle over 4-storey Kensington basement

London's longest running mega basement dispute could last a decade in a row over a £28million pound Kensington property formerly owned by a fraudster. The Grade II listed townhouse was snapped up by conman Achilleas Kallakis (inset top right), who was later convicted and jailed for seven years. He submitted a planning application in 2005 and had begun digging a mega basement which was designed to hold a swimming pool, spa, cinema and car lift (right), but it was abandoned when workers downed tools in 2008. After Kallakis was jailed, receivers seized the early Victorian property (inset left) and sold it in 2011 to an unnamed owner, who is said to be a Dubai-based businessman. While a new planning application was approved by Kensington and Chelsea Council in 2013, the work is yet to continue. One neighbour, who didn't wish to be named, said: 'It's been a plague on our lives for eight years. We've had problems with subsidence from the dig. We don't overlook a garden in a lovely London neighbourhood but a vast chasm into a building site (main).'

Muhammad Ali's children who will be fighting over his fortune pictured

It was a moving display of family unity: nine children with four women gathered around the bedside of dying Muhammad Ali. They had rushed from all corners of the US, said his spokesman, to share the final moments of a man whose chaotic family life had always been subsumed under his glorious public one. On Sunday, his body returned home to Louisville, pictured inset, where he will be laid to rest on Friday. After the funeral there are fears that the gloves will be off in the battle over the boxer's $80million fortune and, perhaps equally importantly, who guides the legacy of such a legend. Ali, who died Friday aged 74, is pictured center with some of his children - (from left) Jamillah, Maryum (standing), Khaliah (sitting), adopted son Asaad, Hana, Miya, Laila and Rasheda.

Hundreds of mourners gathered outside Muhammad Ali's home to reflect on the life of a man who inspired a nation not only through his fighting in the ring, but how he fought for justice and peace.

Thousands around Louisville came out to the Muhammad Ali Center over the weekend to pay their respects to the late boxer and humanitarian -- even insects.

At the museum Sunday, officials needed to call a beekeeper after a swarm of bees congregated in a tree directly across from a mural with the famous Muhammad Ali quote, "Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Bee." Ali, who died late Friday in Arizona, used the quote to describe his boxing style.

Kelly Recker, of Fort Jennings, Ohio, said her and husband, Tony, arrived at the Muhammad Ali Center around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. She went to take a picture of the mural, which is across the walkway from the entrance to the museum and noticed the commotion going on behind it.

"My husband said, 'Oh my God, look at those bees!'" Recker said. "The limbs were just covered with them."

But when you add salt? Turns out there is a soda explosion, followed by quite a mess. The salt causes the carbon dioxide in the soda to form into bubbles.

Incredible 3D images reveal how a supernove explodes

In the landmark television series "Cosmos," astronomer Carl Sagan famously proclaimed, "We are made of star stuff."

At the end of their life cycles, these massive stars explode in spectacular fashion, scattering their guts ? which consist of carbon, iron and basically all other natural elements ? across the cosmos. These elements go on to form new stars, solar systems and everything else in the universe ? including the building blocks for life on Earth.

Despite this fundamental role in cosmology, the mechanisms that drive supernova explosions are still not well understood.

"If we want to understand the chemical evolution of the entire universe and how the stuff that we're made of was processed and distributed throughout the universe, we have to understand the supernova mechanism," said Sean Couch, assistant professor of physics and astronomy at Michigan State University.

To shed light on this complex phenomenon, Couch is leadin
