Ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Merna flaunts her lithe figure and a hint of cleavage in a sheer lace jumpsuit as she enjoys dinner date

She gave up her successful acting role in Hollyoaks to pursue her passion for yoga.

But Gemma Merna proved she was still star-worthy despite her departure from the limelight as she stepped out for dinner at Sheesh Restaurant in Chigwell, Essex, on Sunday night.

The 32-year-old soap actress looked at her best as she adorned her sculpted physique in a stunning black lace jumpsuit.

The sleeveless number featured its prominent sheer lace detailing on the bodice, giving way to a strapless nude bodice underneath.

The undergarment gave a glimpse of her ample assets, and morphed into high-waisted bottoms which cinched her in at the middle before subtly hugging on to her lean legs.

The former soap star opted for a silver theme for accessorising and accentuated her frame with strappy metallic heels which showed off her pink pedicure.

Pulling the look together with a white clutch complete with gold detailing, the Splash! star wore her poker straight honey blonde hair straight against her collarbones with chic centre braid detailing.

The Mancunian beauty has kept a relatively low-profile since her soap days and made her television comeback on the competition based reality skiing series The Jump earlier this year.

Whilst her role on The Jump was short-lived, it seemed as if her natural athleticism would have been the deciding factor for her initial offer to participate in the show.

Gemma recently said that she planned to give up acting and retrain as a yoga teacher in Morocco for six years but finally took the plunge in 2015 after being persuaded by a friend.

Speaking to Digital Spy and her new career, Gemma explained: 'Yoga is my life at the moment, so it doesn't ever feel like something I'm "falling back on".

'I do it day to day, but then if another [acting] job comes in and it suits me, it's all quite flexible.'

Gemma's Hollyoaks character Carmel McQueen was killed off in 2014 and she took a year out to focus on her new role, but inside the studio, Gemma says she's a completely different woman.

She continued: 'When people first come into the room for one of my classes, they may see me as "Gemma from Hollyoaks".

'But by the time they leave, I'm just "Gemma the yoga teacher" and they've had a great class.

'I'm very tough in my classes - nobody gets away with anything! So when they're in the room, they need to focus on their breathing and just do the class.'

In March, Gemma helped to keep Liverpool Yoga Studios open up for 24 hours when she volunteered to teach drop-in classes raising money for Sport Relief.

She also took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal she was launching her own yoga app and is currently in the process of filming for it.
