But on Sunday Antonio Banderas filled another role as the honorary president of Miami Fashion Week.

The 55-year-old gave a speech on the runway to close out the annual event but only after he and his girlfriend Nicole Kimpel, 36, took the final fashion shows.

The Mask Of Zorro star was handsome in a chic black blazer as he kept his button down white shirt untucked.

In keeping with the casual theme, he rocked a pair of ripped denim trousers while addressing the crowd in attendance.

Kimpel, a Dutch investment consultant, kept it equally simple in a black and white striped dress and snug cardigan.

Speaking about his honorary fashion role, Antonio gushed about the new ideas he looks forward to bringing to the event.

'We’re going to bring to fashion a new way of communicating,' he said. 'Unquestionably, Miami is a city in full swing with rapid growth in all areas that deserves to have a fashion event of the highest international level. This is for me a very exciting challenge indeed.'

The news comes after Antonio finished a fashion course at London's Central Saint Martins, and ahead of the release of the star's upcoming men's fashion line, set to debut this fall.

Banderas and Kimpel have been dating since 2014, shortly after Antonio's 19-year marriage to actress Melanie Griffith ended.

Speaking of his former marriage, the Spanish star told E! News this week: 'My life changed very much during the last two years, personal reasons,'

'The possibility of reinventing myself was there, and so I said, "Probably this is the moment that I can do this."'

Speaking about his honorary fashion role, Antonio gushed about the new ideas he looks forward to bringing to the event

The Autómata actress and the Spanish heartthrob share a 19-year-old daughter Stella, who was especially rebellious.

'I told my kids sometimes, but in fact, the reality is I learned from them more. They were not very obedient, but I learn from them,' admitted Antonio.

'Especially from my little one, Stella. And at the beginning I thought it's not the thing that's actually making her look better, but then I realized it was part of a tendency.

'Because I saw her coming home with a bunch of her friends and they were all in the same style, so it's a tendency. Everybody's going there for some reason. It's very interesting how people, we all, react to tendencies.'
