His 15-month relationship with Taylor Swift has sadly come to an end - and Calvin Harris appeared to be a little down in the dumps when he went on a lads' night out in Malibu on Saturday night.

Looking a little glum, the musician didn't quite appear to be getting into the spirit of things as he kept a straight face, while surrounded by his supportive chums on their way to Nobu restaurant. 

He maintained a casual appearance for the outing with singer Frank Ocean, wearing a simple black jumper and grey jeans, teamed with a pair of Adidas trainers.

Taylor Swift has got a whole new wardrobe to go with that punky platinum blonde hairdo.

Despite his new single status, the Scottish DJ showed things were still friendly with his ex by 'liking' an Instagram photo of the singer taken at a wedding at the weekend.

News of the shock split only emerged earlier in the week, but despite his unhappy split, things are going well for Calvin professionally. 

The 32-year-old Scottish DJ's latest single This Is What You Came For featuring Rihanna, has topped Australia's ARIA singles charts this week. 

The catchy house-influenced track, which was released earlier this year, has moved up to the number one position on the prestigious Australian Recording Industry Association singles chart.

Calvin has previously topped the ARIA singles chart, when his track How Deep Is Your Love, a collaboration with Disciples, came in at number one in August last year.  

The DJ's musical success Down Under comes after news emerged earlier this week of his split from girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Calvin and Taylor called time on their relationship after 15 months, with sources saying the Bad Blood singer and the Scottish DJ were not on the same page about their future.

Taylor reportedly thought Calvin was the man she would marry and was talking about having children, but he reportedly was not yet prepared to settle down.

A source told Us Weekly: 'She used to talk about their future a lot - marriage, babies. And although he wants all of that, it just felt a bit like she was all full-steam ahead, whereas he is more of a slow and steady, let things progress organically, kind of guy'. 

Despite this, the insider suggested there was no lingering animosity between the pair.

Of their relationship failure, the source said: 'It's a shame because Taylor is a lovely girl. But it just obviously wasn't meant to be'.  

This comes shortly after a source claimed the 'heartbroken' 26-year-old singer felt she had no choice but to walk away because Calvin wasn't prepared to wed and have children in the foreseeable future.

A source explained: 'Taylor ended things as she could feel their relationship wasn't heading in the right direction. She discovered they were on different paths in the last few weeks.

'It wasn't that they weren't happy, but when she raised the subject of their future it became clear they do not want the same thing at the same time,' the insider said.

Social media: Earlier this week Calvin acknowledged the news of his split from Taylor by posting this to Twitter

'Taylor is heartbroken. But it could have been a lot worse if they were in this position in another 15 months. She always saw herself as a young mum. It's not that she's in a rush to settle down or anything. But she also doesn't want to waste time either,' the source revealed.

Calvin was reportedly reluctant to make a 'complete commitment' to the blonde beauty.

But the source added: 'He absolutely adored their time together, but being a devoted boyfriend is difficult to fit in with being the biggest DJ on the planet. He also loved having his own home in LA and didn't want to move in full time together. He loved his own space'. 

Earlier this week Calvin acknowledged the news of his split from Taylor, writing to his Twitter fans: 'The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect'.
