It's also unknown if there were any arrests made in connection to the shooting or if any of those shot knew the shooter.

However, the shooting appears to have been 'accidental', a source told NBC 9 News

The NFL is working with the Denver Broncos to collect information about the shooting after being informed of the incident, ESPN.com reported.

They declined to comment to the sports website.

Talib has a $57 million six-year deal with the Broncos, which he signed in 2014.

The player has had a bizarre history of run-ins with the police.

In 2011, Talib was indicted on an aggravated assault charge in Texas for allegedly pistol-whipping his sister's boyfriend, ESPN.com reported.

The charges were later dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

In 2014 Talib was said to have been arrested in Dallas but the team had been misinformed as it was actually Talib's brother Yaqub Talib, who had been arrested.

According to ESPN.com, Dallas police released a correction on social media saying information that Aqib Talib had been arrested 'was incorrect.''

In 2015, both Talib and his brother were questioned at a Dallas nightclub where an alleged aggravated assault had taken place.

Talib's car was towed and examined by police but he was never charged with a crime.
