As audience members awaited the crowning of a new Miss USA, their attention was sure to be diverted in the meantime thanks to Ashley Graham.  

The 28-year-old Sports Illustrated cover girl sizzled in a plunging royal blue dress which put her ample cleavage on maximal show. 

Grinning from ear-to-ear, the model, who will also be the backstage host of the show, dazzled as she worked her magic on the star-studded red carpet in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Sweeping her brunette tresses in a slight side part across her head, Ashley's tresses were curled into loose and wavy ringlets for added oomph of glamour.

Ashley's complexion radiated with a winged slick of eyeliner, mascara, and light pink blush, while a pair of teardrop earrings provided even more dazzle.

The swimsuit model finished off the look with a pair of metallic silver heels. 

No question the model was excited to host the backstage gig.

Reflecting on her new role with People, Ashley said her participation in the program marked a new direction for beauty.

'The fact that they've asked me to come and speak backstage means that there is more feeling of diversity of beauty,' she said. 

'I'm really excited about the fact that they're so open to the inclusion of so many different types of beauty, because for so long [America] has been going one way – America has finally caught on.' 

During the show, while the bikini-clad contestants piled off the stage, Ashley expressed her hopes for curvier women in the future. 

'Pageants now, I'm hoping, are going to start putting curvy, plus-size women in front of the camera,' she said.
