The father of the 20-year-old Stanford University swimmer found guilty of raping an unconscious 23-year-old woman at a campus party has penned a letter (inset) saying his son is paying a high price for '20 minutes of action'. Brock Allen Turner (right) was found guilty Thursday for sexually assaulting the woman, who has not been identified. On Sunday, Turner's father, Dan A. Turner (pictured right in left image), penned an open letter about the verdict of the rape case, arguing his son's jail sentence 'isn't an appropriate punishment'.

Michael Phelps pulled out of his final race at the Longhorn Elite Invitational in Texas over the weekend so he could spend some time with his newborn son (left). The 18-time Olympic gold medalist shared two photos of himself with his baby boy Boomer shortly after making the decision to leave the event early, just two months before the start of the 2016 summer games in Rio de Janeiro. 'Nothing like being home with the family!!!' wrote Phelps in the first Instagram snap, which showed him and Boomer in bed with his sleeping fiancee Nicole Johnson(right).

Chaos erupted outside Kanye West's secret concert in New York City after thousands of desperate fans descended on Webster Hall, forcing officials to cancel the gig. Police were called in to control the crowd as people swarmed around the venue in the East Village (bottom right), and climbed on top of cars and a mail truck (top right) to get a better view as rumors swirled about the gig. Kanye was heard asking for Mayor Bill de Blasio to shut down the block in a Snapchat taken by wife Kim Kardashian after a stampede outside the venue. Fans went wild and chased the rapper, who was hanging out of a sunroof, when he and Travis Scott passed them in a car (left), but he wasn't able to deliver the performance they were hoping for. Webster Hall announced there would be 'no late show', and there were reports that some fans were trampled on in a crush or pepper sprayed as the situation got out of control.

A tiny home that could be the smallest in all of Colorado is up for sale. The 'micro-cabin' is set on 35 acres in Northern Colorado and can be purchased for $66,900. Sitting just before the Wyoming border, the tiny wooden home is only 120 square feet and has only one room, but is enough space for anyone in love with ski country.

Five-month-old baby, Abigail Lynn, is supposed to be living with her adoptive parents in Georgia, but instead she is at home with her birth mother, Christina Fisher, in Florida. This is because Abigail was born with the rare condition, Treacher Collins syndrome, which means that some of her facial structures are underdeveloped. As a result, her adoptive mother fled the hospital, claiming Abigail was not what she hoped for, and her birth mum kept her instead.

Close friend Tim Shanahan (above with Ali) claims the overly generous boxing legend 'would empty his wallet  - even for a stranger' in his memoir Running with the Champ and believes it has seriously impacted his fortune. Ali, who died on Friday, felt guilty about his affairs and having two children out of wedlock so he 'never said no' when relatives asked him for cash. He was persuaded to open Ali's Trolley chicken restaurant in Chicago where he lived, but it closed after 18 months. Shanahan claims members of his inner circle began 'actively ripping him off.' He claims Ali's cronies spent $2.5 million that should have gone to pay his taxes and looted $21 million from a sports company set up in his name. The author was 'disgusted' to see the boxer's so-called friends submitting bogus receipts for meals, clothes and drinks. Ali once told Shanahan,  'I never had any trouble with my white brothers around me. It's always my black brothers who try and screw me.'

Miss California flubbed the interview portion of the Miss USA competition on Sunday. In an Instagram video, Nadia Mejia poked fun at her flub, singing 'I don't know about the economy' to the tune of a Backstreet Boys song. The daughter of 'Rico Suave' singer Gerardo, Mejia made it to the top five after winning fans over with a blog post on her struggle with anorexia.

Viewers were left outraged after Miss Hawaii (left and far right) was asked who she would vote for in the upcoming presidential election. Miss Hawaii Chelsea Hardin, who came in second to winner Deshauna Barber of the District of Columbia (right), was asked whether she would vote for Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Hillary Clinton. There was a social media frenzy (inset) following the question during the Miss USA pageant, held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, on Sunday evening. And some even claim the 'inappropriate question' robbed her of the crown.

Roger Clinton has been arrested for DUI in California. The younger half brother of President Bill Clinton and brother-in-law of Hillary was arrested Sunday evening a little after 8pm in Redondo Beach and taken to jail after refusing a breathalyzer test according to TMZ . The arrest comes just two days before voters head to the polls in that state's primary, which Hillary hopes will make her the presumptive Democratic nominee in the upcoming presidential race.

Ivanka, who published The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life in 2009, will advocate for an 'inclusive and celebratory' vision for working women in her second book.

Joey Warchal (pictured, right), a 13-year-old boy with a love for antiques, had the wherewithal to noticed an error in the meticulously recreated cell of famous gangster Al Capone at The Eastern State Penitentiary museum in Philadelphia. The museum has an impeccable recreation of the jail cell Capone lived in from 1929 to 1930. Joey identified the large cabinet radio included in the exhibit as a Philco A-361, which came out ten years after Capone served time. The 13-year-old emailed the museum's vice president Sean Kelley and offered to find the right piece for them. Kelley agreed and gave the 13-year-old, who is in seventh grade and said he loves English classes, $400 to find a replacement. The museum has planned a cider and cake party to celebrate the arrival of the radio, which will be delivered on June 7.

China's richest man has waged war on Disney, opening up a mammoth theme park (pictured, and crowds inset) that he says will spell the end of Mickey Mouse. Wang Jianlin's (inset top left) Wanda City theme park opened its doors last week and will challenge Disney latest venture, with their new $5.5billion Shanghai attraction launching later this month. 'We want to ensure that Disney will not be able to make a profit in this sector in China for between 10 and 20 years,' Wang said. The Wanda company's park has already enraged senior Disney officials after Captain America and Snow White characters were spotted milling around with guests at their rival's site.

Evan Fasciano (left and bottom right, now) was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis, a genetic disorder that leaves him at constant risk of infection, dehydration seizures and sunstroke. The five-year-old from Goshen, Connecticut, suffers from the most severe form of the disease which makes it look as though he's covered in 'scales'. When Evan was born (top right), his skin was so thick he couldn't open his eyes for two weeks - and spent the first two months of his life in hospital. His mother now gives him two baths a day to wash off the scales before they get too thick again.

An ex-Marine with PTSD says he was fired from his job at Time Warner Cable for lowering the company's flag to half-staff on Memorial Day in remembrance of a fallen comrade. Allen Thornwell (left), 29, lowered the flag (top-right) on the company's grounds in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 30. In doing so, he was particularly remembering best friend Sgt. Geoffrey Day (bottom-right), who also suffered PTSD and killed himself in 2014. The next day he found out that he had been fired. Thornwell now wishes he'd asked permission - something that didn't occur to him at the time. 'I didn't think of it as the property of Time Warner Cable,' he told The Charlotte Observer Friday. 'It's everybody's flag.' 

The Avianca Airbus, which was flying from Lima in Peru to Buenos Aires in Argentina, was dramatically rocked at around 41,000ft. Images of injured people standing by their seats, oxygen masks hanging from the ceiling and panels snapped and dented emerged online following the incident. One passenger claimed that it was 'a miracle that passengers survived'.

The Castello di Sammezzano in Tuscany, Italy, was built in the early 17th century by Spanish nobles and was even visited by Emperor Charlemagne, before it was turned into a hotel-restaurant. It has been empty since the 1990s when the hotel business closed. Despite the last refurbishment taking place in 1889, the property amazingly still retains its glorious former appearance.

The couple from White Haven, Connecticut, say they are still in shock after receiving the note (right) that was originally written to Ed Quirk in the summer of 1963 by his aunt Francis, who was staying in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Somehow the postcard has been lost for the last 53 years, but was found by a postal worker in Maine, who managed to track down Quirk and his wife Joan (pictured together), who still live in White Haven. 'Where has it been?' Ed told Fox 61. 'This was lost somewhere. We don't know if this was lost on the Cape, stuck in a bag somewhere or in a machine.'
