England continued their build-up to the World Cup in China with a convincing win over Iceland at Roots Hall.

Katie Chapman struck twice while Kelly Smith and Rachel Yankey were also on target as England impressed in front of a crowd of 7,606.

England dominated from the onset and had already hit the post through Fara Williams when Yankey opened the scoring on 23 minutes.

Chapman turned in a second in first-half injury time before two more goals midway through the second period put the result beyond doubt.

Captain Smith netted on 64 minutes and had a penalty saved a minute later but Chapman volleyed in the fourth after 69 minutes.
