'Apparently I was at a big fat Greek wedding, wish I'd been there!' Kylie Minogue's fiancé Joshua Sasse, 28, slams rumours the pair wed in secret in the Greek Islands

Kylie Minogue's fiance of three months, Joshua Sasse, has slammed reports the pair married in the Greek Islands last week.

The 28-year-old English actor took to Twitter on Tuesday to set the record straight, after it was claimed the pair wed in secret on the idyllic Sifnos Island.

The Galavant star tweeted: 'Apparently I was at a big fat Greek wedding...wish I'd been there!'

Joshua tagged 48-year-old Kylie in the post and added the hashtag 'rumours, rumours, rumours,' with the pop princess then re-tweeting him.

According to Australian magazine Woman's Day, the Spinning Around singer flew in their family and friends to the island under the pretence that they were helping her celebrate her 48th birthday, only to hold their wedding.

A source told the publication guests flew first class.

It was reported Kylie's sister Dannii Minogue and her son Ethan, and their parents Carol and Ronald were among the guests.

A hotel owner on the island, Dimitris, met the pair - who boast a 20-year age gap - days out from their ceremony.

He told the glossy: 'This is a beautiful place and they will always have happy memories forever by being married here.'

The magazine also claims Kylie and Joshua flew to the Island early last month to organise their nuptials.

Their latest trip to the Greek Islands coincides with Joshua posting the poem Santorini, by George Seferis to Instagram.

Kylie also thanked her followers for all their birthday love, saying her day was 'magical.'

Joshua and Kylie announced their engagement in February, putting a notice in the marriages section of UK's Daily Telegraph.

It is thought the couple may have chosen to announce their engagement in the Telegraph because of Mr Sasse’s family links to the newspaper.

Joshua seemed to previously confirm their engagement after referring to Kylie as his 'fiancée' during the NME Awards after party, where the star was proudly showing off a huge diamond ring.

The pair first met last September when Kylie filmed scenes for Galavant.

Kylie seems absolutely smitten, previously saying of Joshua: 'I have a love of my life which is just a beautiful thing. I am kind of on cloud nine most of the time because of Mr Joshua Sasse, my beau.'
