Geek chic! Amanda Seyfried sports dowdy ensemble as she joins Ed Helms on set of The Clapper in LA

Amanda Seyfried got to work on her latest movie The Clapper on Saturday.

Donning a not-so-flattering ensemble as she got into character, the 30-year-old beauty was seen enjoying a giggle with her co-star Ed Helms.

Amanda still managed to shine in her dowdy outfit which consisted of ill-fitting corduroys and a lilac t-shirt over the top of a bold patterned button-up shirt.

Finishing off the stylistically-challenged look was some beige moccasins and her blonde locks were swept back off her face in a low ponytail.

Ed, 42, was seen in a striped shirt with grey slacks and brown jacket.

The Office star showed off neatly styled locks. 

The Clapper follows a professional infomercials clapper (Helms) who catches the attention of a late-night TV host who profiles him on his show. 

The 15 minutes of fame ends up costing the clapper his job as well as a budding romance with a girl played by Seyfried.

Amanda has been a busy girl of late filming not one but two movies, the yet-to-be-named film from Nash Edgarton, which is filming in Chicago and Last Word, which just completed production.

The latter also stars her new boyfriend Thomas Sadoski.

The actress met Sadoski, 39, on the set of their off-Broadway show The Way We Get By in April 2015. 

At the time, he was married to his wife of eight years, Kimberly Hope, and Seyfried was in a relationship with actor Justin Long.
