Bretagne, a 16-year-old golden retriever who was the last surviving search dog helping to find survivors after the twin towers came crashing down on September 11, has died in Texas. With a host of honors to her name and countless searches behind her, Bretagne was honored - as any human would be - one final time before her death. A row of firefighters stood at attention as Bretagne walked with her owner, Denise Corliss, into the Fairfield Animal Hospital in Cypress, Texas. Bretagne began suffering from kidney failure and when she stopped eating, Corliss knew it was time to say goodbye. The dog, who was also a volunteer firefighter, had also aided in searches during Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane Rita.

A fish has been photographed swimming within a jellyfish with a bewildered look on its face off the coast Australia. Tim Samuel was free diving in the waters off Byron Bay, near the Queensland-New South Wales border, when he noticed a jellyfish bobbing past with a fish trapped inside it. He posted images of the bizarre sight to Instagram which showed the small fish looking snug within the bell of the jelly fish.

The footage was posted online by ESR, a firm based in British Colombia, Canada, who say the gentle laser light is capable of removing harmful and unsightly deposits without chemicals to restore everything from sculptures and bronze statues. The firm say it can even remove abrasives, water, dust and residues that would otherwise cause permanent damage to priceless historical architecture. In the video the laser is seen cutting through the contamination on the surface of a fire place and instantly restoring it without the need for scrubbing.
