'My mind is blown': Rare appearance of 'the other Michaels sister' Catheryne on Gogglebox sends viewers into a frenzy

They're regulars on Channel 4's popular reality TV show Gogglebox.

But the inclusion of the Michaels family's 'other' daughter Catheryne alongside her sister Alex sent viewers into a frenzy following Friday night's episode, as they reacted to the similarities in appearance between the two.

Fans took to Twitter in their droves to voice their disbelief at the shock inclusion.

One viewer wrote: 'Catching up on Gogglebox & my mind is blown...that there's twins all this time I thought it was the same girl with different makeup!' 

While another said: 'Catching up on Gogglebox and there are TWO girls in the Michaels family.... no wonder she looked so different sometimes. Mind f****n blown'

And the sisters certainly had an admirer in one viewer who wrote: 'Watching Gogglebox back. The Michael sisters in the same room together' followed by two smitten emojis.

The Brighton family usually consists of dad Andrew, mum Carolyne and children Alex and Louis on the show, while university student Catheryne only occasionally appears.

However, it's not the first time a sister of one of the regular Gogglebox stars has stolen the show.

Earlier this year fan favourite Scarlett Moffatt, 25, was upstaged by her younger sister in a rare appearance.

The star met her match in her nine-year-old sister Ava, who outwitted her in an almighty fashion as she poked fun at her lack of nutritional knowledge, much to the nation's amusement.

The radio host told her family that she didn't know the 'no added sugar' label on food and drinks packaging did not actually mean the item contains no sugar at all.

'Just recently, I genuinely thought that 'no added sugar' meant that there was like not a lot of sugar in it at all,' Scarlett explained.

Ava allowed her parents a break from their defeated sighs and eye rolls by delivering the perfect response.

Proving she's wise beyond her years, she said: 'Scarlett, I'm a nine year old and even I know that and you're 25.'

Understandably, the TV star-turned-author couldn't think of a sassier comeback and was forced to accept defeat.
