The show must go on: Tracy Morgan keeps busy filming new movie The Clapper as he marks the second anniversary of the fatal accident which came close to taking his life

Two years ago to the day his world was thrown upside down and his friend's life taken.

But a day before the anniversary of that ill-fated night, Tracy Morgan was making the most of the time he almost lost.

After the car crash on June 7, 2014, it seemed like the 47-year-old would not live another day but now he not only has his life and career back, he is busier than ever.

On Monday, Tracy was hard at work on his new film The Clapper in Los Angeles, California, alongside co-star Ed Helms.

Aside from when Tracy made sure to hold onto the railing and a wall as he careful made his way down the stairs there was no hint of the injuries - which included multiple broken bones - that he received when a truck slammed into the limo he was riding in.

Tracy also suffered brain injuries in the crash, but has found a way to return to work, with The Clapper just one of a number of projects he is currently working on.

In fact, the 30 Rock comedian is so busy that this film, which also stars Amanda Seyfried, has to film around Tracy's schedule.

For Monday's shoot, the funnyman was dressed in a pair of cargo pants with a zip-up jacket and a T-shirt that read 'Have you seen Judy with the mousy hair?'.

Co-star Ed wore the same shirt, which seemed to be a play on Beyonce's now infamous line 'Becky with the good hair'.

In the film, Ed plays goes from working on infomercials to getting a late-night talk show, which is not the big break he wanted.

Tracy plays his best friend who tries his best to help Ed's character with his unexpected fifteen minutes of fame.

While it has been two years since the crash, earlier this year the driver of the Wal-Mart truck, Kevin Roper, who crashed into the comedian's limo, was indicted and pleaded not guilty to on vehicular homicide, aggravated manslaughter and eight counts of aggravated assault.

Tracy's friend and fellow comedian James McNair was killed in the crash while fellow comedians Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton and Tracy's assistant, Jeff Millea, were all injured in the wreck.

Prosecutors have claimed that Roper had not slept for more than 24 hours prior to the crash, which occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike.
