Make-up free Ashley Tisdale ditches the glamour as she works up a sweat at the gym in LA

She is the latest cover girl for New You magazine.

But on Tuesday Ashley Tisdale gave her makeup team a break and let her natural beauty shine through.

The 30-year-old put her fresh face on show following a workout in Beverly Hills, where she stepped out sporting a grey tank top and black leggings, which showed off her gym-honed limbs.

Ashley had a light green sweatshirt conveniently thrown over her shoulder, as her hands remained full with a chic black purse and her cell phone.

The on-the-go actress kept her hair style fuss-free, slicking her light blonde locks back into an easy ponytail.

While looking for the most part completely casual, she did add some glam to the look with her studded earrings and wedding ring.

Ashley, meanwhile, recently appeared on the cover of New You magazine.

There in the magazine, the actress revealed she would not be returning for High School Musical 4 after playing Sharpay Evans for the previous three installments.

The friendships that were built during the filming of HSM is what Ashley believes was the magic dust for the franchise: 'High School Musical didn’t make us, we made High School Musical because of our friendship, how close we were, and the magic there at the time.'

When asked if she would return for a fourth installment, the Disney star said it's not going to happen.

'No. Looking back, it was such a perfect thing for its time and was so pure that I just don’t know how you go from there.'

The petite blonde also revealed that it was difficult trying to get away from her character.

She said it has been tough for people to separate who she played from who she really is: 'It’s been challenging. I think people in this business put you in a box and label you for what they think they know of you and what character you have played.'

Ashley said she loved playing the role of Sharpay despite being nothing like her in real life: 'Sharpay was such an awesome character, but at the end of the day it was a character; it wasn’t me. Anything that I’ve gotten since then, TV-wise and movie-wise, is me really fighting for it.'
