So THAT'S why she caught his eye: The very racy Instagram snaps of the Colombian model, 21, pictured looking cosy with Cristiano Ronaldo on board a luxury yacht in Ibiza

They were pictured looking very cosy together on board a luxury yacht just off Ibiza, and the stunning brunette pictured partying with Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the Euro 2016 tournament this weekend has been named as Colombian model Paula Suarez.

The 21-year-old actress, from Bogata, was pictured getting up close and personal with the Portuguese footballing icon, 31, on his Mediterranean jaunt.

According to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manh, the pair enjoyed each other's company 'for one night only' after the Real Madrid player met the very glamorous model in Ibiza nightclub Amnesia.

Paula shows off her perfect pins in a selfie taken in Miami earlier this month. On her Twitter profile, the 21-year-old describes herself as an 'activist for the dignity and respect of women in the modelling world, and an animal welfare campaigner.'

Ronaldo and friends had been celebrating their recent Real Madrid's Champions League triumph with a short sun-soaked jaunt around the Balearic party isle.

On her Instagram bio, Paula says she's based in Ibiza and describes herself as a model and actress and offers the slightly lost in translation line: 'The World is in my mind!'

Her stream of scantily clad images have seen the bikini model amass 347,000 followers on Instagram, many of whom wasted no time in asking her about her encounter with Ronaldo, to which, unsurprisingly, she hasn't yet responded.

There are also shots on her feed of her posing at the Bernabeu stadium, the Real Madrid ground where Ronaldo plies his trade week in, week out, so the model is clearly a fan of the Spanish club.

He's used to throwing a pose or two given his various modelling campaigns down the years, and the Portugal star took centre stage once again yesterday.

With Euro 2016 fast approaching, Portugal's 23-man squad were given a final send-off in Lisbon, meeting the country's President and posing for a squad photo in Belem.

And it appears Ronaldo could not help but give the professional pose - while his team-mates smiled for the camera, he folded his arms and looked sternly at the photographer.

Ronaldo was absent for last week's 1-0 defeat by England at Wembley but will be one of the star attractions in France.

And with that elevated profile comes a greater security risk, particularly in a country still on high alert.

'As everybody knows, Portugal is considered one of the high-risk teams due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo,' Portugal coach Fernando Santos said.

And on Twitter, the Colombian beauty describes how she's been a model since she was 15 and is a keen 'activist for the dignity and respect of women in the modelling world, and an animal welfare campaigner.'  

However well Paula and her footballing romeo got on, the romance has fizzled for now; Ronaldo is now firmly focused on helping his national team secure victory in France over the coming weeks.

And it seems that Paula is already on another continent, posting an image of herself on Instragram yesterday, again wearing a bikini, on a balmy beach in Miami. She captioned the photograph 'Otro maravilloso día' meaning 'another wonderful day' in Spanish.

It isn't the first time a Colombian beauty has caught the eye of the 31-year-old star; he was previously linked to Nataly Rincon at Christmas in Miami, following his split with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk.

Afterwards, Rincon revealed that Ronaldo was 'very flirtatious' and the centre of attention on a night out at the US city's Villa Azur Restaurant and Lounge.

She added: 'There was alcohol, I was happy. He stood in front of me and said, ‘Look at how I dance’ and he danced in a really sensual, sexy way. It was great.

'Around midnight we gave each other a kiss. I’m not going to tell you where it was, you’d die. I’ll leave that to everyone’s imagination.'
