Fox News correspondent Ed Henry will NOT cover Hillary campaign in wake of his affair with Vegas stripper as Trump begins attack on Bill Clinton's marital indiscretions

  • Veteran stripper met the political journalist at the Sapphire club in Sin City
  • Natalia Lima (real name Natalie Albrandt), 42, performed steamy $2,000-an-hour routines for Henry in VIP 'Skybox' at Sapphire Las Vegas strip club
  • Chief White House Correspondent took time off after details of his alleged affair emerged
  • Henry has been married to NPR editor Shirley Hung since 2010. They married in Las Vegas
  • Donald Trump will be going after President Bill Clinton for his marital indiscretions during his campaign against Hillary

The chief White House correspondent for Fox News, Ed Henry, will not be covering Hillary Clinton's campaign, the network has announced.

The news follows allegations in May that Henry had an extramarital affair with a Las Vegas stripper.

'We recently became aware of Ed's personal issues and he's taking some time off to work things out,' the news channel said at the time.

National security correspondent Jennifer Griffin, who has reported on the presidential campaign since May 31, will officially take on Henry's role alongside chief congressional correspondent Mike Emanuel.

DailyMail.com revealed last month that the woman who claims she had a ten-month affair with Henry is a veteran stripper who met the political journalist at a Las Vegas gentlemen's club.

The news comes as Trump has made it clear in the past few weeks that he plans to go after his opponent's husband and his past marital infidelities.

Trump has made comments about Bill Clinton's past behavior throughout his campaign when speaking about Hillary, but started to dial up the volume last month, tweeting on May 17: 'Amazing that Crooked Hillary can do a hit ad on me concerning women when her husband was the WORST abuser of woman in U.S. political history.'

The subject came up again two days later when Trump appeared on Sean Hannity's eponymous news program to talk about a less than flattering New York Times article about the presumptive Republican nominee's treatment of women.

After calling the piece a 'con job,' Trump was asked by Hannity why he believes that the Times has not dug into Bill's past and claims that have been made by women including Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey.

'In one case, it's about exposure. In another case, it's about groping and fondling and touching against a woman's will...' said Hannity, at which point Trump interrupted to say 'and rape.'

He went on to say: 'And big settlements, massive settlements. And lots of other things. And impeachment for lying.'

A week after that came a video that Trump posted on his Instagram page with the caption: 'Is Hillary really protecting women?'

The video showed a black and white photo Bill Clinton smoking a cigar layered over the White House with the camera zooming in as testimony and interviews of his past female accusers could be heard.

The video then cut to a picture of Bill and Hillary sitting together and smiling with the sound of the presumptive Democratic nominee maniacally laughing playing in the background.

'Here we go again,' read the text above the photo.

Trump has also been guilty of having extramarital relations in the past, with his relationship with Marla Maples leading to his divorce from first wife Ivana.

Neither of those women though ever accused the billionaire businessman of sexual misconduct or assault.

Many were shocked when news of Henry's affair first broke early last month, quickly followed by details of his Sin City mistress.

Brunette beauty Natalia Lima, 42, performed steamy $2,000-an-hour routines for Henry in a private VIP 'Skybox' at Sapphire Las Vegas strip club.

The pair hit it off during their encounters at the popular venue and engaged in a secret love affair at luxury hotels when the veteran newsman visited Sin City.

Lima revealed her tryst with Henry in a salacious kiss-and-tell with In Touch magazine, prompting the 44-year-old to take time off work in a bid to mend his relationship with his wife, NPR's Deputy Washington Editor, Shirley Hung, 46.

Henry has been married to NPR editor Shirley Hung since 2010. They married in Las Vegas.

But while Lima was described in reports as a glamorous Las Vegas hostess and through friends claims to have met Henry five years ago during an innocent Twitter exchange, MailOnline revealed that in fact she is a long-time stripper and Henry was one of her clients.

Lima - whose real name is Natalie Albrandt - has since gone to great lengths to conceal her true profession and a close friend told DailyMail.com that she is a celebrity stylist and a 'good Christian girl', denying any knowledge of a connection to the Sapphire club.

But numerous sources at the club claim otherwise, revealing Lima has worked there for 'several years'.

Sapphire club, a huge 70,000 sq ft, two-story establishment on Sammy Davis Jr Drive in Vegas, is popular with celebrities, including rapper 50 Cent, magician Criss Angel and boxers Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson.

Girls at the club offer lap dances for as little as $20 on the main floor or clients can opt for a VIP experience starting from $500 and going up to as much as $2,000 an hour in one of the club's ten deluxe VIP Skybox rooms.
