Rita Ora keeps her attire tame in a white sweater and blue skinny jeans as she continues to shoot scenes for BDSM-themed Fifty Shades Darker

While the Fifty Shades trilogy boasts a particularly steamy storyline, Rita Ora's costumes appear to be notably demure for her role as Mia Grey, the sister of protagonist Christian Grey.

On Wednesday, the 25-year-singer was spotted on the Vancouver, Canada, set of the BDSM-themed Fifty Shades Darker wearing a textured white V-neck sweater and blue skinny jeans.

Rounding out her simple ensemble with white tennis shoes, the star's honey-coloured tresses rested about her shoulders as she joined co-stars Jamie Dornan, Marcia Gay Harden and Luke Grimes.

Days earlier, she was seen with Dakota Johnson on the set, with both wearing equally casual gear.

Leading lady Dakota wore a pale grey hoody and a pair of black Converse for the shoot, while Rita was spotted in a red Adidas zip-up top teamed with dark leggings and black running shoes.

At the time, the pair shot a scene that required them to walk with an arm around one another as they acted out what appeared to be a serious and intimate conversation.

Rita's acting debut in February 2014 came as something of a shock to her fans since she was only given three lines - one of which was in French - when it came to the final cut.

She told OK! magazine at the time: 'Everyone is going to have their own opinions.

'But for me this was such a great cameo to be involved in, and even though I'm only in it for a little bit, it's opened the door to a lot of movie things that I haven't actually announced yet.
