G'day style! Jaime King combines sports luxe with grunge as she picks up some fashion tips from Down Under

She has been more of a boho babe of late, but this star changed things up and decided to embrace her dark side on Thursday night.

Jaime King reminded the world why she has long been considered one of fashion's IT Girls as she attended a store opening in Los Angeles, California.

The 37-year-old made a style swap for the launch of Australian store General Pants Co.'s first American retail offering, The Local. 132.

The actress hit the store's red carpet in a sports luxe meets grunge ensemble featuring some of the new store's Australian labels.

For her night of pies, accents and style, Jaime wore a long flowing silk dress with a cowl neck by seminal Down Under label Ksubi.

The Hart Of Dixie star paired the dress, which was feminine but with a grunge edge, with a satin bomber jacket also from the label.

Jaime accessorized the look with a pair of unusual white pull-on sneakers plus a diamonds and leather necklace which she wrapped around her neck so it was fashioned into a choker, adding to her Nineties vibe.

The model turned actress wore her recently darkened ombre locks out with some haphazard waves at the bottom.

Jaime treated the evening like a date night, bringing along husband Kyle Newman, who avoid being in photographs but snapped an amazing shot for her Instagram of the actress in front of the event's stage.

Also attending the store launch was Australia's hottest export, Ruby Rose, who skipped the carpet.
