A Flybe plane flying from Glasgow to Belfast was forced to make an emergency landing after an engine fire broke out on board.
Flight BE130, which was travelling to Belfast City Airport, was diverted to Belfast International Airport after the blaze was detected.
The airline confirmed the plane was met by emergency services 'as a routine and precautionary measure'.

The Flybe flight was en route from Glasgow to Belfast City Airport with 76 passengers and four crew on board when its left engine caught fire. It was forced to land at Belfast International.

In an almost spooky fashion, a child has been filmed walking right up to an approaching elephant on a road and seemingly controlling it by showing it the palm of her hand. The dramatic scene unfolded in Sri Lanka, with the girl showing absolutely no fear as she walks towards the creature gazing down upon her. Remarkably, the elephant, despite its massive size, appears to be scared of her and quickly backs away as the girl continues to walk forwards.

The one-month-old elephant, who lives with her mum, 30-year-old Sri Nandong, at Singapore's Night Safari, was caught on camera as she found her feet ahead of her grand unveiling.

Palace of Versailles' 'impossible' waterfall from the sky stuns visitors

The spectacular attraction has been created to revive the initial vision - never realised - of Andre Le Notre, principal gardener to King Louis XIV. It is one of three water features installed by artist Olafur Eliasson at the landmark near Paris. The renowned 49-year old artist, who grew up in Iceland and Denmark, presented his June 7 to October 30 exhibition early last week ahead of its opening. 'The waterfall is an attempt to finalise, to make the impossible possible, to make the dreams come true,' he said.

Avianca Airbus passengers tell of horror on board a plane hit by severe turbulence

The Avianca Airbus, which was flying from Lima in Peru to Buenos Aires in Argentina, was dramatically rocked at around 41,000ft. Images of injured people standing by their seats, oxygen masks hanging from the ceiling and panels snapped and dented emerged online following the incident.
