The world's slowest (and scariest?) roller coaster: Daredevil riders pedal around a narrow track in an open cycle car with just a seatbelt protecting them from a 50ft fall

  • Thrillseekers can enjoy amazing views of sea and islands on the coaster
  • It is a top attraction at a Brazil-themed amusement park in Okayama, Japan
  • Riders take around three minutes to pedal around the track above trees

While it may lack the speed and stomach-churning loops that most roller coasters offer, this pedal-powered ride is still a terrifying experience for thrillseekers.

Daredevils must propel themselves around a narrow track above the trees at an amusement park in Japan while they’re seated in a tandem cycle car – with a seatbelt protecting them from a 50ft fall.

Riders must do all of the work as they make their way around the track while trying to admire the stunning islands in the Seto Inland Sea instead of staring at the ground.
