He's back! Lamar Odom looks relaxed as he returns to Instagram for first time in eight months while hanging out with former Lakers teammate Trevor Ariza

Lamar Odom returned to Instagram on Friday in his first posting since his overdose at a brothel in Nevada in October.

The 36-year-old former pro basketball player and estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian shared a relaxed photo of himself with his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Trevor Ariza.

'Hanging with my lil bro @tariza1 last night at the @copaamericausa2016 games,' Lamar wrote in the caption for his more than 250,000 followers.

Lamar looked healthy and happy, flashing a smile as he hung out with 30-year-old Trevor.

The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore a black T-shirt, striped tracksuit and large sunglasses with a gold chain.

Trevor, 30, also was causally dressed in a black sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and a backward grey cap.

The former teammates were catching the Copa America game between Mexico and Jamaica at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Lamar and Trevor both played on the Lakers team that won the 2009 NBA Finals against the Orlando Magic.

Ariza played one year at UCLA before turning pro and currently plays for the Houston Rockets. 

Somewhat awkwardly, one of his Rockets teammates is Khloe's ex-boyfriend James Harden, who she was still with as she nursed Lamar back to health.

It was Lamar's first Instagram post since October 4, 2015 when he shared a video of himself playing hoops in a friendly game.

Lamar was hospitalised on October 13, 2015 after being discovered unconscious after a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel.

Lamar suffered several strokes and kidney failure but has since made a remarkable recovery.

His estranged wife Khloe, 31, called off their divorce to make medical decisions during his recovery.

However, she filed again for divorce and is reportedly considering taking out a restraining order against Lamar, RadarOnline reported on Thursday.

'He’s totally lost it, calling her every name under the sun and yelling at her for breaking promises she made to him on his death bed,' an insider told RadarOnline.com.

'It’s pretty vicious has been bombarding her with bitter texts and drunken rambling messages that are starting to scare her.' 

Khloe and Lamar married in September 2009 in a TV special, a month after meeting at a party for Lamar's former Lakers teammate Ron Artest.
