And Alexa Chung, 32, channelled her wild side as she headed out with pals in New York, on Saturday, in a striking buttoned down leopard print shirt.

The fashionista paired the statement shirt with a pair of high-waisted light blue jeans which came to rest just above her ankles.

She was given a boost as she went barefoot in a pair of black wedge sandals which ensured she towered over a male pal, who rocked a double denim ensemble with brown suede boots.

Alexa carried her essentials in an over-the-shoulder bag and covered her eyes with a pair of oversized oval shades to complete her vintage look.

The style icon wore her shoulder-length brunette tresses in a plain straight style while minimal make-up ensured her natural beauty shone through.

She clung on to a lamppost as her guy pals gathered on the roadside, her stylish ensemble in-keeping with the gritty NYC vibe. 

It's been a busy time for the media and fashion personality as, last month, the model was guest of honour at Canadian fashion designer Erdem Moraliouglu's dinner party in Venice, Italy.

Alexa was also present at her close pal Rick Edwards' wedding at at the picturesque Kew Gardens in south west London.

Earlier this year, Alexa scored a career high as she teamed up with M&S to create a 31-piece line of clothing plucked from the iconic store's stylish archives.

Her personal life is also going well, as she is currently loved-up in a long-term romance with handsome True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgård. The two have even sparked rumours of an impending engagement.

A source previously told Grazia magazine: 'Alexa has told friends that [an English stately home] would be her dream wedding location – and now they are saying that they wouldn't be surprised if an engagement was on the way.'
