Time for Kardashian klass! From 'bloop' to 'ratchet'... Kim schools fans in how to talk like a true-blooded member of the family

It might not be the done thing to publicly admit to watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

But with 2.5million tuning in every week, it's clear that there is something enduringly fascinating about America's reality royal family.

However ten seasons in (and counting) it can be hard to catch up - particularly as the Kardashian sisters can at times seem to talk in code.

Luckily for any puzzled newcomer Kim Kardashian has published a handy guide to the terms she and her sisters regularly use - from 'bloop' to 'ratchet'.

Work summer whites like Kim in J Brand jeans

We all know that a good pair of jeans is the basis around which hundreds of stylish looks can be built. But if you're feeling like your denim collection could do with an update then now is the time to get shopping.

With so many trends it can be difficult to know where to start so we suggest getting one pair for each to make sure you've covered off all potential options! High waist jeans are great for lengthening legs and flattening tummies, while boyfriend jeans have cool fashion editor edge. Skinnies are versatile and flares are on-trend this summer, but have you considered branching out with color?

While white jeans can seem tricky to pull off, buy yourself a decent pair that hold you in and have rips for an edgy twist. Let Kim be your guide.

Hers are by J Brand and you although her exact pair are sold out, you can get the new season update by clicking through to Harvey Nichols (right).

Alternatively, Topshop, Asos, RES Denim and Cheap Monday offer up similar pairs below.

And while some of their favourite slang phrases seem rather obvious (the use of 'Facts' to mean 'the real deal' for instance) others have been given a peculiarly Kardashian twist.

Taking to her paid-for blog KimKardashianWest.com on Tuesday, Kim explained 'Ratchet' as meaning 'Ghetto AF.'

If that doesn't instantly clear it up, she defines it further.

'Beyond "ghetto," it's used to describe any person, situation or event that is a complete hot mess and beyond saving. However, "ratchet" can also be used in a positive sense—to describe an ambiance as being so busted that it ends up being fun.'

And next time you find yourself gazing glassy-eyed at the small screen as Kim and Kourtney talk of 'bloop', rest assured you are not alone.

Here comes the bloop? 'Essentially meaningless, a "bloop" is a space filler that can be used at any time, for any reason'

No, it's not what Khloe eats to get her inflated rear end. Instead gloop is: 'Essentially meaningless, a "bloop" is a space filler that can be used at any time, for any reason.'

As for shade? No, it's not where you perch yourself to feast on Kim's favourite ice cream.

'What is thrown when one person wants to belittle, diss or otherwise trash another,' explains Kim.

So, onto Turbo Thot. 'Thot is an acronym for "that ho over there."' explained the mother-of-two. 'A "turbo thot" is an individual who is particularly fast, in the colloquial and sexual sense of the word.'

So how would you fit such a word into a catch up with friends? Kim is here to advise.

She says: 'That girl is such a turbo thot; she's literally hooked up with every guy I know.'

They're turnt! 'A party is turnt when the vibes are lifted and participants are all having an amazing time,' explains Kim; seen with her family in February

Next up in Kim's dictionary is turnt, a word which is used to describe the atmosphere of a party, or gathering.

'A party is turnt when the vibes are lifted and participants are all having an amazing time,' explains Kim.

But don't make the mistake of confusing turnt with lit.

While lit is also about a great party, it refers more to the mental state of those attending.

Says Kim, lit is: 'The state of being so intoxicated, turned up or generally in an amazing mood.'

And for those who have altogether had enough Kardashian-speak for one day, Kim has the perfect phrase - 'b**ch bye'.

In her own words: 'A phrase used when you are just totally done listening to another person and have nothing more to say to her.'
