For a week, the Big Brother housemates have been watched and targeted by The Others, who have been living just meters away from the house.

And during Tuesday night's shocking live twist, The Others claimed their third victim as they stripped Chelsea Singh of his housemate status by labelling him the 'biggest horror' in the house.

Exempt from choosing Ryan and Laura, the team opted for Chelsea - who has been linked to The Other Jayne.

Explaining their reason for targeting the multi-millionaire, Hughie explained: 'We've picked Chelsea because Jayne's description of him was horrible... well her time and fall out with him was horrible.

'And we didn't know how to choose...' he continued: 'We picked Chelsea because we didn't like his haircut.'

Calling Chelsea to the diary room, the entrepreneur was then told by Big Brother: 'Chelsea you are not alone.'

They continued: 'Just a few meters from where you sit is the other house. The people who live there are not housemates, they are the others. From the moment you entered the house, the others have been plotting against you.

'Just now, the others made a decision that has serious consequences for you. Their decision could haunt you for the rest of your big brother days.'

They then proceeded to explain to Chelsea that he had lost his housemate status as his housemates watched on in the background.'

And Chelsea received another shock on the evening as he came face to face with a blast from the past in the form of Jayne, who greeted him when he walked through the Other's door.

The Others - which now includes Chelsea - will be continuing to conspire to target and take down the housemates in order to steal their place in the competition.

Those in the main house have been competing for the prize fund of £100,000 and will therefore face the public vote to be in with a chance of winning.

But whilst the twist no doubt sent shockwaves through the house, it was the technical difficulties that was the main topic of conversation around the viewers.

Confused: Fans were confused by the lack of visuals on the show as it crashed in and out of adverts

Angry: Some fans believed the producers were filling for time on the programme

Annoyed: One viewer suggested it would have been wiser to stick to scheduled programming

After the live feed was interrupted on several occasions, bringing up an error screen and crashing the programme in and out of advert breaks, confused fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

'The biggest fail in #BBUK history #big brother #livebigtwist bonkers!' one viewer wrote, whilst another added: 'What if the twist is you have to #findthelivefeed haha #findthelivefeed. Retweet !'

Another viewer also spoke out about the sudden cut out in sound, asking: '@bbuk why have a live show if you are going to mess about with the adverts and the mute half the reaction? It's past watershed, #BBUK'

A Big Brother spokesperson told MailOnline: 'We so apologise for some technical difficulties tonight, but you can tune into Big Brother’s Bit On The Side tonight at 11:30pm to see what you missed.'
