She's married to an Oscar-winning singer songwriter and has her own fortune from modeling.

So it's great to know that Chrissy Teigen's mum is keeping the star's feet firmly on the ground.

The 30-year-old Sports Illustrated beauty explained in a Snapchat video on Wednesday that her mum, Vilailuck, had brought hot dogs to her exclusive Beverly Hills hotel room because the room service was 'too expensive.'

She then showed the onion-covered wieners wrapped in tin foil, appreciating the charming humour of the situation.

Showing her plush surroundings, Chrissy explained: 'We are staying at one of the fanciest hotels in Beverly Hills and my mom brought me....hot dogs!'

She clearly allows herself some treats despite recently slimming down after welcoming her first child.

The stunning star and the All Of Me Singer tied the knot with a dreamy, Italian ceremony in September 2013.

They announced the birth of their daughter Luna Simone via Instagram on April 17.

The couple had trouble conceiving and Chrissy finally became pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment. They have several embryos on ice for use at a future date.
