What happens when Jennifer Aniston's make-up artist does Amy Schumer's make-up? The comedian debuts a softer look on the cover of Vogue - here's how to copy it

  • Amy, 35, appears on the magazine's July cover
  • The comedian ditches her signature smoky eye in favor of a sophisticated, pared-down look
  • Make-up artist Gucci Westman, who works with celebs like Jennifer and Cameron Diaz, created the look
  • FEMAIL rounds up products to use to get a similar style at home

Amy Schumer loves a smoky eye. The comedian, who typically keeps it casual off the red carpet, wore a haze of grey and black around her blue eyes at the Met Gala in May, at the Golden Globes in January and at nearly every other high-profile event in between. She even thanked her make-up artist Andrea Tiller for her smoky-eye work while accepting an Emmy award last September.

But for her first-ever Vogue cover, on newsstands later this month, Amy pulled a Taylor Swift. The 35-year-old adopted a totally new make-up style for the glossy - though unlike Taylor's, Amy's Vogue-approved look is decidedly pared-down.

Reposing in a bed of grass, the Trainwreck star appears with a neutral eye, soft rosy cheeks and a sophisticated shade of red on her lips.

The classic look is the work of make-up artist Gucci Westman, who's known for making A-listers like Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore look glamorous in an effortless way.

'I adored doing Amy's make-up for the July cover - of course she was making us laugh the whole time,' Gucci wrote on her Instagram account this morning.

Lucky for us, the artist also divulged her on-set techniques to her followers.

The focus, it seemed, was to make her blue eyes pop. To achieve this, Gucci said she used a mix of matte grey and brown shadows on the actress' eyelids and a hint of grey liner in the lower lashes.

'She has amazing brows, I just filled in making sure they looked polished and refined,' the artist wrote.

Gucci then subtly contoured her cheeks, layering a rose-toned blush over top before finishing the look with a wine-colored lip stain.

There's no word on exactly what products the make-up artist used to create the very imitatable look (though she may have used pieces from her recently announced cosmetics line), but FEMAIL's got you covered.
