'Get out of my moment!' Kendall Jenner claps back at Stephanie Seymour after the fashion veteran branded her and Gigi Hadid not real supermodels

She may be the quiet one in her family, but this star is not going to sit around and tolerate being 'publicly shamed'.

Kendall Jenner fired back at Stephanie Seymour after the member of the so-called 'original six' said the star and Gigi Hadid had no right to be called supermodels.

The 20-year-old fired back on her app on Thursday, calling out the 47-year-old for branding her and Gigi 'B***hes of the moment'.

Kendall said Stephanie's and online users' comments are bullying: 'If you're going to tell us not to be in ''your moment,'' then don't be in mine!

'But, if you choose to be a cyberbully, I'm going to stick up for myself.'

The Victoria's Secret star said she looked up to Stephanie - who along with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington emerged as one of the original supermodels in the Nineties - and was inspired by her, rather than copying her.

'No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour's thing, or trying to be her.'

Don't hold her down: Kendall (seen here in February) said the iconic model's and online users' comments are bullying, 'If you're going to tell us not to be in ''your moment,'' then don't be in mine!'

Kendall asked how Stephanie would feel if her 11-year-old daughter, Lily, was subjected to the same criticism or called a 'b**h'.

'I guarantee you that she didn't imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being ''bitches of the moment.'''

The reality star turned model argued she and Gigi - whose mother is former model and Real Housewives star Yolanda Foster - have worked hard to be the models they are today.

'If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn't take anything away from supermodels of the past.

'Obviously, I have so much respect for those women, but right now, we're the models of this time. Significant? Maybe. Hardworking? For sure.'

While Stephanie is not the only one to question Kendall's model status, the Keeping Up star said she has had support from others in the modelling community.

A thing of the past: Kendall's comments come after Stephanie (pictured 1995) made it clear she did not plan to hand off her supermodel title in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, in which she said 'they are completely different than we [as supermodels] were'

'There are other supermodels who give me tips and build up my confidence, sending me notes after a spread comes out, saying, ''You're killing it.'' That's the classy way to behave and I fully intend on being a positive influence on anyone younger than me, my entire life.'

'They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title.'

Things got a little harsher when asked what should their title be, with Stephanie saying 'Bitches of the moment!' That would be a good title for them.'

She is not the only former model to suggest Gigi and Kendall are not made of the same stylish cloth.

What would your daughter say? The 20-year-old posed the question how would the older model (seen her with Naomi last week) feel if someone 'publicly shamed' her daughter the same way she did Kendall

In April, Rebecca Romijn said the pair were not 'true' supermodels as they 'are more famous for their social media presence than their runway experience'.

She told Entertainment Tonight: 'No one has proven yet that numbers of followers translates to revenue.

'So it is frustrating. I know a lot of people - legitimate fashion people - can’t stand it. Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels.'
