'Happy birthday darling!' Johnny McDaid, 39, posts sweet Twitter message to Courteney Cox during special day together to celebrate her 52nd

They reconciled earlier in the year following a brief split.

But Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid looked more in love than ever as they posed for a snap on her 52nd birthday on Wednesday.

The American actress and her 39-year-old fiancé put on a loved up display as they hugged against a backdrop of green gardens and blue skies.

Courteney and Snow Patrol rocker Johnny were wrapped up warmly in matching black coats and knitwear as they paused for a snap in front of a pretty lake, celebrating the Friends star's birthday.

Sharing the snap on Twitter Johnny made a rare public declaration of love, writing: 'Wishing my beautiful @CourteneyCox the happiest birthday!'

She responded with 'Thank you my love' before going on to thank fans for their well wishes, writing: 'Huge thank you to all those to took the time to wish me a happy birthday. It's been a great one! (sic)'

Courteney reportedly became engaged to Irish musician Johnny again in April.

Johnny proposed to Courteney in June 2015 after two years of dating, but the couple split in December before reportedly reconciling early this year. 

'Courteney and Johnny are planning a fall wedding,' a friend told Life & Style.

 'They just took a trip to London to meet with their wedding planner. They are considering Castle Leslie where Paul McCartney married Heather Mills, as well as Ballintubber Abbey where Pierce Brosnan got married.'

'She really wants a low-key wedding with about 100 guests,' said a pal.'Their good friend Ed Sheeran will be playing and Johnny will be singing a song he wrote especially for Courteney.'  

Speaking about the big day last April, the actress told Entertainment Tonight: 'Coco is very excited about the wedding. I was going to hire a wedding planner, but apparently she wants to do it.'

That July, she told People that Coco would be singing at the wedding, saying: 'It's going to be a whole musical. I could request something, but I actually wouldn't have a choice. 

'That kid loves to sing. Everything from Barbra Streisand to Cee Lo.' 

Just last week Courteney's daughter Coco celebrated her 12th birthday at Nobu in Malibu.

The youngster looked very grown-up, towering next to her mum in peep-toe heels and a polka dot dress as she left the restaurant. 

Coco is Courteney's daughter with ex-husband David, who the Friends star was married to from 1999 to 2013.
