And in real life Eleanor Tomlinson and Heida Reed looked equally stunning as they hit the red carpet on Thursday for the 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival's closing ceremony.

Eleanor showed off her porcelain skin in her daring dress which had a seriously low neckline.

The chic number featured ruffle detail on the collar and down the front, leading to a thigh-high split.

The actress added a pop of colour with some dazzling green earrings and a matching cocktail ring, which looked beautiful with her red locks, swept back off her face.

A pop of red lipstick finished off the super glam look.

Heida meanwhile chose a stunning pale pink dress in layers of lace and chiffon.

She added a pair of nude strappy heels and completed her ensemble with a slick of pink lippie and glossy loose locks.

Aidan wasn't to be outdone by his two leading ladies, with the TV hunk putting on a very dapper display in a smart black suit.

The actor was still rocking his bushy beard, which he has been proudly sporting since wrapping filming for series two of Poldark earlier this year, in which he sports a more clean-shaven look.

Eleanor is famed for playing Demelza, the feisty servant who falls in love with Captain Ross Poldark (Turner) in the period drama while Heida plays her love rival, Captain Poldark's first love, Elizabeth.

A broadcast date has not yet been announced for the second series of the popular BBC show, but it is expected to air this autumn.

Although little is known about what the second series will hold for the retired soldier - who has captured the nation's heart with his shirtless antics and rebellious streak - a recent synopsis gave viewers a hint at what to expect.

'Ross Poldark must once again fight for his freedom when George Warleggan tries desperately to steal his mine and have him hanged as a revolutionary,' a BBC spokesperson said.

'Crippled by debts, Ross and Francis try to heal old wounds by joining forces in a new mine free of the Warleggans.'

'But Ross and Elizabeth's feelings for each other cannot be repressed, and Ross risks everything in a desperate smuggling venture.'

Aidan recently hinted viewers will get to see him strip off again in the second series as his character struggles to choose between his love for his wife Demelza and his lust for ex-fiancée Elizabeth.

'All I can say at the moment is that love is a very complex thing. It is so deep and there are so many layers', he told the Daily Star.
