The teens, who have not yet been identified by police, were rushed to Florida Hospital South where they both died from their injuries, WESH2 reports.

Witnesses told police that they saw a dark-colored vehicle driving away from the area in the aftermath of the shooting.

Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting, or named a suspect. No further details have been released.

The shooting comes just days after two high-profile shootings in the city of Orlando, the first being the fatal shooting of pop singer Christina Grimmie last Saturday.

Grimmie was signing autographs at around 10.30pm following a concert at The Plaza Live when deranged fan Kevin Loibl approached and opened fire.

The latest shooting comes just days after Christina Grimmie, a pop singer and former The Voice contestant, was shot dead by deranged fan Kevin Loibl after a gig in Orlando

The singer, who once competed on The Voice, died at the scene along with Loibl, who shot himself after being tackled by Grimmie's brother Mark.

Then, in the early hours of Sunday morning, killer Omar Mateen committed the worst mass shooting in American history by gunning down 49 people inside Pulse gay nightclub.

Mateen, who has been described as a repressed homosexual by acquaintances, opened fire with an assault-style rifle inside the club at around 2am, spraying the dance floor with bullets.

Shortly before the massacre, Mateen called 911 to pledge allegiance to ISIS, which subsequently claimed responsibility for the attack, though it is unclear what connection he had to the group.

Mateen was also described by former co-workers as an 'unstable' man who often talked about violence with them.
