'The only thing I can do is cut it away': Josie Gibson reveals her excess skin shame following 7st weight loss... as she plans more surgery after secret nipple lift

Josie Gibson has revealed surgery plans to remove the excess skin on her stomach following a dramatic 7st weight loss.

The former Big Brother winner bravely exposed her stomach on live television on Friday as she spoke to Loose Women about her secret body shame.

Joining the women as an honourary panelist, Josie, 31, revealed that she's determined to 'get the body [that she] wants,' adding that she's previously had a nipple lift to remodel her breasts.

She confessed: 'I'm going to see a surgeon on Monday. I can't do anything about it. I've been to see so many consultants and the only thing they can do is cut it away.'

Josie dropped down to a healthy weight from 17 and a half stone in 2015 and now says: 'You only live once you may as well get the body you want.' 

It was photographs of the reality TV star on the beach that spurned her on to lose the weight, but she says she didn't know how bad things had become until she saw them.

'I didn't realise I was that fat,' she said. 'I thought they'd done something to the fat. When I see these pictures, it just inspires me to go to the gym.' 

Josie has been known for her yo-yo tendencies when it comes to weight, shrinking from 16st 7lb to a tiny 10st 2lb at her lowest during the six years that she's been in the spotlight.

As part of the loose-lipped conversation between Andrea McLean, Kay Adams and Nadia Sawalha, as well as guest Dale Winton, talk also turned to nipples, following research that there are eight different types.

Josie confessed that she previously had her nipples realigned when she had a breast operation because her doctor took one look at her and told her they were 'everywhere.' 

The group discussed Josie's 'real troubles' with using dating sites, while she admitted that she always goes after the wrong type of man.

'I don't know what I'm looking for,' she said. 'I met this guy and he was so nice but I took his kindness for weakness and I know it sounds awful now. I've said sorry but he did dump me in the end.

'I've always had a thing for a bad boy. I'd always go for the ones that didn't treat me well and I never realised it until I got older.'

In Big Brother, which she won in 2010, Josie famously struck up a relationship with fellow contestant John James Parton after the house, in late 2011, and they moved in together after four weeks.

Most recently, Josie called off her three-year engagement with Luke Sanwo in April 2015, explaining that they 'fell out of love' but it was later claimed that he thought she'd lost 'too much weight.'

Josie blamed the lack of male role models in her life as she told audiences that her father had been killed when she was around five or six years old.

With Father's Day in mind, the other panelists described how their fathers had influenced their choice in men, agreeing that they'd set the bar high because they adored their own dads. 

Unable to relate her own experiences, Josie said: 'I know it sounds sad but I didn't feel like it'd had an influence on my life until you just said that.

'It does affect your relationships. I don't think I've had that male influence or that relationship to look up to.'

The 31-year-old, who's currently single, went on to describe a lack of emotion in her bond with her mother and said that she's grown up without a 'cuddly' family. 

Josie continued: 'I wish my mum had been more of an emotional crutch. Being there for each other, I think is beautiful.'

Later, she said: 'I think I was always seeking more closeness with her and a bit more of an emotional attachment. As I've got older I've become much more of a cuddly person.'
