Mike Gilbert (left) claimed that OJ Simpson told him he had not intended to kill his wife Nicole Brown (pictured right with Simpson) when he went to her home on June 12, 1994. But Gilbert said he didn't believe this. Instead, he is convinced Simpson went to Nicole's home with the intention of murdering her over the fact that she had left him and was seeing his friend and protege Marcus Allen. Nicole wrote in one of her diary entries that she feels 'beautiful and sexy and smart' when she is with Marcus, as opposed to feeling 'jabs' when she is with Simpson.

The footage comes in the wake of the death of two-year-old Lane Greaves, who got snatched by a gator as he waded in shallow water in a lake at a Disney hotel Tuesday night. In the clip, an employee (left) appears poking an alligator with a pole, trying to direct it back towards the water while blissfully oblivious guests ride the Splash Mountain. But the animal (right) appears to be determined to crawl out onto the land. Disney employees have claimed they complained in the past about guests feeding alligators at the Bora Bora Bungalows, just across from the beach where Lane died - but that their concern remained ignored.

High school senior, Scott Dunn (left and top right), missed his graduation because he was in a medically induced coma (inset left) following a car crash. His fellow classmates (bottom right) at East Juniata High School in McAlisterville, Pennsylvania, gave Dunn a second chance at graduating by recreating the ceremony. Dunn had been in a car accident three days before his class graduated on May 25. But once the word got out that he was on the road to recovery, his classmates and principal developed a plan that allowed him to celebrate graduation.

The funeral motorcade was traveling from a church to a grave site in Kissimmee, south of Orlando, when an impatient female motorist tried to bypass the procession around 11.30am, police say. Two Osceola County deputies - who were on motorcycles to protect the procession - were rushed to the hospital after the crash (pictured, main and inset). One is in a serious but stable condition and the other is stable. Police confirmed that the crash was not deliberate but said that charges were pending against the driver who was not injured. The funeral was being held for Jean Carlos Mendez Perez (bottom left) who was shot dead in Pulse nightclub on June 12.

Hillary Clinton beamed a satisfied smile while husband Bill waved to well-wishers as they left the exclusive Manhattan hospital where they had met their grandson for the first time. Surrounded by their Secret Service detail, the Clintons walked out of Lenox Hill hospital in tandem early on Saturday evening, where daughter Chelsea had given birth to their first grandson, Aidan. Appearing to be in fine spirits, the Clintons earlier issued a statement saying that they were 'overjoyed' to be grandparents again as Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinsky declared themselves, 'overwhelmed with gratitude and love'. Chelsea, 36, first tweeted the news of the birth of Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky on Saturday morning. Their daughter Charlotte was born in September of 2014.

More than 70,000 Sears Catalog Homes were sold between 1908 and 1940 - bought straight out of a mail-order booklet and assembled by the customer. There were hundreds of designs, from the tiny Goldenrod, to stately four bedroom homes, the properties came pre-cut and ready to assemble. Today many are still standing, primarily located in the East Coast and Midwest although homes have been found as far as Florida, California and Alaska. One such home was built in North Dakota. That house belonged to the great- grandparents of Reddit user RedHotSauceBoss, RHSB, who decided to restore the property to its former glory on its 100th birthday.

The Las Vegas area is grappling with a squatter problem, fueled by a big inventory of empty houses abandoned by people with deep financial problems when the economy crashed. Las Vegas police don't have a dedicated squatter unit, but received at least 4,458 squatter-related service calls in Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County last year, more than double the tally in 2012. In North Las Vegas, police, code enforcement and utilities officials use paperwork traps to spot fake rental contracts and push squatters out. Officials said it's easy to draw up a bogus lease. Officers recently cleared a two-story house in May where a woman and five children lived for eight months, with no water service. An open box of Pop-Tarts, a child's bicycle, furniture, barbecue, mop, water bottles and other items were still inside the home (left and bottom right) on a recent visit.

Tiffany Hatfield, 34, from Daytona Beach, Florida, crept up to 196lbs (14st) and a size 18 (size 22) (left) when she existed on a diet of biscuits and fried chicken to curb her boredom. Annie Mae Braiden, a mother from Victoria, Canada, shared the heartbreaking photos of her little girl in intensive care after she contracted whooping cough at just six-weeks-old. She has pleaded with parents to vaccinate their children in a lengthy Facebook post where she detailed their heartbreaking experience.'It's not fair that my little girl is in the PICU coughing and turning blue with alarms going off because she can't breath just because you didn't vaccinate your kids,' she wrote.

The NYPD is searching for two men after video caught one of them beating a tan and white dog with a belt, punching him, and strangling him by his leash. It happened on May 24 in Staten Island. After a Good Samaritan tried to intervene, he was allegedly slashed in the face with a knife by the man who was taped abusing the dog.

The mystery of the strange bent trees dotted around the Unites States has baffled experts for decades. But now researchers are investigating the theory that the unusual trees are not a natural phenomena but were once a secret marker for Native Americans finding their way through the forests. Artist Dennis Downes heard stories growing up about the native tribes who once dwelled around Lake Michigan. More than a century ago, tribes would used hidden trails to find safe passage through the forests and across the water.

Coney Island hosted a whale of a good time as thousands turned out to participate in the annual Mermaid Parade on Saturday. Mermaids and glittery seafolk alike washed ashore for the parade on Saturday afternoon.
Three thousand marchers and half a million spectators attended to see the celebration of culture and art, which featured floats, marching band and - of course - mermaids. Hailey Clauson (pictured, right), who was featured on the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, has been crowned Queen Mermaid of this year's parade.

A video uploaded to Instagram shows how the million dollar look can be achieved using a highly pigmented silver powder. Instagram users have shared posts showing off their different polished looks - some using glittery and metallic nail polish and others rocking different colours including lilac and dark grey.

A thief broke into the ceiling of a store in Palm Beach County, Florida on June 8 and stole a roll of lottery tickets, only to return a few days later to cash one. He broke in right in front of the store's security camera and an editor had fun putting hilarious captions on the video of the crime.

The man is seen lying face-down on the ground in broad daylight at one point in the clip. A shirtless man wearing jeans approaches the naked man, and proceeds to start yelling at him. A female police officer comes up to the two men outside the store. The naked man at one point gets up and rushes into Ray's Market. He was identified as 36-year-old Dustin Lee Rice, of Klamath Falls, and was booked by authorities for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Rice was later arraigned and released on his recognizance.

Three World War II heroes, Julian Lopez (right) and Lupe Malacate (left), both 90, and Tony Romero (center), 88, graduated from a Los Angeles High School on Monday. The trio, who have been best friends since 'grammar school' were drafted in 1944 to serve in World War II, which forced them to drop out of school. Lopez's wife, Henrietta (second right), who is 89, also received her high school diploma. The graduation was setup by Julian's daughter, Connie Miranda, who, through a year-long process, pushed the Los Angeles United School District to recognize the four as graduates.
