'Are you ready to be judged?' Cersei's reckoning seems at hand... as Tyrion tells Daenerys she is now in the Game Of Thrones in season finale trailer

It has been a long time coming.

But it seems Cersei Lannister might finally get her reckoning before the gods if the trailer for the Game Of Thrones season finale is any guide.

During a speech in the Great Sept of Baelor he says: 'Are you prepared to stand trial and profess your innocence before the Seven?'

The camera then shoes the Queen Mother from behind, as well as Queen Margaery and her flamboyant brother Loras, whose long locks have been cut short.

One thing is for sure, her grand plan to save herself by having the resurrected Mountain be her champion in a trial by combat has been blown after she allowed him to rip the head off one of the Faith Militant when she refused to attend a meeting with the High Sparrow.

Her hopes of her brother and lover Jaime coming to rescue her seem far fetched also, as he is shown having a party with Walder Frey following his success in lifting the siege at Riverrun.

Meanwhile Tyrion tries to counsel his queen on how she should handle herself now she is about to invade Westeros.

He tells Daenerys: 'You're in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying.'

And her sudden attack of nerves also see her seek counsel from her beloved  Daario Naharis, who she may end up having to give the flick for political reasons.

The former sellsword seems delighted to discover she is still frightened of her power, saying: 'Are you afraid? Good.'

And while they have finally reestablished the Stark supremacy in the North, it seem cracks could be appearing in the relationship between Jon Snow and Sansa.

He warns her they have to 'trust each other. We have so many enemies,' ignoring the fact she completely deceived him about reaching out to the Knights Of The Vale.

It looks like the duplicitous teenager will soon have the opportunity to betray her half-brother, whom she has never considered a true Stark, after she is approached by old sidekick Petyr Baelish.

The randy nobleman seems intent in having her as more than a friend, saying: 'I thought you knew what I wanted.'

Meanwhile it seems Jon may have to mete out some justice after his loyal sidekick Ser Davos Seaworth angrily tells him about Melisandre's role in the death of his beloved Princess Shireen Baratheon.

He screams: 'Tell him what you did to her. Tell him.'

If he decides to follow his father Ned Stark's example, he may have to end her exceedingly long life for good with one swing of his trusty sword Longclaw.
