Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds announces pregnancy after undergoing IVF following husband Jim's vasectomy

The Real Housewives of Orange County's Meghan King Edmonds is pregnant with her first child - a daughter - with husband Jim Edmonds.

'We're expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice!' the expecting 31-year-old - who's four months along - announced Monday morning.

'Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!'

The Missouri-born reality star got pregnant via her first round of IVF with frozen sperm provided by the 45-year-old ex-baseballer, who had undergone a vasectomy.

'It was just such a long process with the IVF, step by step by step with so much information,' Meghan - whose ovaries swelled from the shots - told People.

'I was swollen and in pain and it hurt to even sit straight up. It was awful. And then the recovery from that was hard...I've always dreamed of this, but it's still such a miracle!'

Jim already has two daughters - Lauren, 22, Hayley, 18 - with his first wife Lee Ann Horton, who passed away from cancer last July.

Meghan continued: 'Lauren has slowly accepted me, in my role as her dad's wife, and I think she knows I have her best interests in mind. I don't think she sees me as her stepmom; I think that makes her uncomfortable.'
