'I want to make this the best show yet': The Voice coach Delta Goodrem announces new national tour... SEVEN years after her last headline performance

Australian singer Delta Goodrem has announced her new national headlining tour, Wings of the Wild.

The 31-year-old hitmaker - who currently acts as a judge on The Voice Australia - is hitting the road around the country, seven years after her headlining Believe Again Tour. 

Delta told News Corp how's she's eager to impress her fans, saying: 'I want to make this the best show yet.'

She added: 'This tour will be the one that celebrates all the chapters of my career.'

'I want to reconnect with the Australian public again, play all the songs they love, kick my shoes off, get on the piano, get on the guitar,'  she said, adding performing for her is 'primal.'

Delta will start her tour in Newcastle on October 27, before heading to Sydney on October 28.

From there, she will head to Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, with the tour wrapping up by November 11.

Delta is known for hits including Born to Try, Lost Without You and Out Of The Blue, having released her first debut album in 2003, Innocent Eyes.

The songstress was just 15 when she signed with Sony and a year later appeared on the soap Neighbours.

Last year, she released the single Wings, which reached number one on the ARIA Singles chart in August and stayed there for more than two weeks, the first time she had done so since 2007's In This Life.

This year, the Australian beauty released the song Dear Life, from her forthcoming album. 

On Sunday, Delta said on The Voice about the tour: 'I can't wait to get there and sing all the songs you know and have a good night.'

She recently has been working on the stage show CATS, playing the role of Grizabella, which marked her musical theatre debut.
