She's an adventure loving pioneer living in a bright and fun-filled world.

And on Sunday, Kourtney Kardashian shared a cute throwback photo looking just like a real-life Dora the Explorer.

The 33-year-old mother-of-three captioned her image, 'In case you didn't know, I was the original Dora the explorer.'

Children's cartoon character Dora is famous for her blunt fringe

Wearing a bright white tracksuit the young Kourtney sits proudly on her father Robert Kardashian's knee, smiling for the camera.

With her thick dark bob held back with a floral clip, she sports a classic 80s blunt fringe cut, falling just over her eyebrows.

And just like her cartoon twin, little Kourtney looks like she's ready for some mischief, no doubt accompanied by her many siblings.

To mark Father's Day, Kourtney also posted a heartfelt post to her late father,

She then shared another childhood photo, this time of herself alongside teenage sisters Khloe and Kim, hugging their father, the family look the picture of happiness.

The reality star captioned the shot: 'I miss him every day but especially on Father's Day when I am reminded that I was lucky enough to have the best dad in the world.

'I always knew he was an exceptional parent but after having my own kids I really knew. I try my best every day to be the kind of parent he was to me.'

Robert passed away from Esophageal cancer in 2003, he was 59-years-old.

At the time, he was divorced from Kourtney's mother Kris Jenner, who had gone on to remarry Olympian Kaitlyn, formerly known as Bruce before she came out as a transgender woman last year.

Now with her own brood, Kourtney spent Father's Day with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, 33, and their three children at the Santa Barbara Zoo.

The former couple strolled around the Californian animal park with their children, Mason, six; Penelope, three, and Reign, 18 months.

As proud dad Scott enjoyed a cuddle with his youngest son, it looked like Mason was feeling weary and climbed into his little brother's pushchair, despite being too big for it.

Moving forward: While Scott and his 37-year-old ex have had their problems, those were all put aside for a fun Father's Day
